The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martinez is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kidd's half guard. Martinez stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Kidd throws an ugly left hook that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Kidd throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Martinez pushes Kidd up against the cage in a clinch. Kidd manages to break the clinch.
Kidd shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Martinez eats them both and turns towards Kidd to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Kidd scores with a jab to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kidd changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Kidd misses with an uppercut. Martinez tries to counter with a takedown but Kidd is quick to defend against it. Kidd throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Martinez ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Martinez tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Kidd manages to circle out of the way. Kidd throws a body punch but Martinez moves out of range. A lazy left from Kidd finds it's target. Martinez scores with a takedown into Kidd's guard. Kidd manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Martinez has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kidd avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. A body shot lands from Kidd.

Martinez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kidd tries to avoid it but Martinez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kidd to the ground. Kidd escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcos Martinez. That's going to take a lot out of him. A decent looking cross lands there for Kidd. Kidd digs a good body shot into Martinez's ribs. Kidd cracks Martinez's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Martinez slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Kidd can do further damage! This one is done, son!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Haber looks to land a right hand but Niederreiter moved out of range. Niederreiter has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Haber misses with a looping right. Niederreiter avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Niederreiter swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Niederreiter tries to clinch up. Haber misses with a looping left. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Flux has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Flux lands with a good body shot. Todd ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Todd swings and misses with a shot to the body and Flux counters with a takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Flux pushes past his half guard into mount! Flux landing punches. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barca throws out a loose jab but Camacho uses good head movement to avoid it. Camacho takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

That was a close round but I would say that Hannibal Barca will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Camacho is staying active underneath Barca, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Barca is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Camacho can do to turn this around? Camacho avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Barca. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Barca not landing any meaningful shots this time. Camacho is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Barca has latched onto it... Big trouble! Barca pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Camacho is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Barca!

Hector Camacho was interviewed post fight and said 'fuck it's going to shit fast'.
