Kaku shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kaku was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Kaku is trying to ground and pound but Powers uses the momentary lack of control by Kaku to regain half guard.
Kaku is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Powers is just riding it out for now. Kaku eventually gives up the hold.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That kick from Kurtz tenderised Slater's leg. Slater is trying to keep his angry face on.
