1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mako Takaziko! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ler throws a head kick that misses and Takaziko moves into the clinch. Ler is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Takaziko putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Ler in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Ler tries to pull guard but Takaziko holds him up against the cage and eventually Ler drops back down to his feet.
Takaziko manages to break the clinch.
Takaziko instigates a clinch. Ler tries to stall but Takaziko uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Takaziko's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ler dives in and grabs Takaziko's left leg, looking for a takedown. Takaziko pushes down on Ler's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Prox Ler. That's going to take a lot out of him. Takaziko misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Takaziko throws a series of punches but Ler avoids them all with ease. Ler is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A little jabbing left from Takaziko on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ler falls off balance throwing a combination
and Takaziko counters with an outside leg kick.
Takaziko checks a leg kick nicely. Ler throws a jab when Takaziko was well out of range. Prox Ler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ler throws a leg kick and Takaziko holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Takaziko escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ler tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Takaziko paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ler darts in looking for a takedown but Takaziko gets double underhooks and turns Ler into the cage. Takaziko uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ler.
Takaziko throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ler was covering up waiting for the punch and Takaziko finishes the takedown easily into guard. Ler has momentary wrist control but Takaziko slips an elbow through the middle. Ler is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Takaziko is stalling in the full guard. Takaziko's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Takaziko postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Takaziko drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Takaziko seems to have locked his on tight now - Ler screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Takaziko, as he picks up the win!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cooper Iv gets caught flat footed, as The Blitz shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The Blitz is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Cooper Iv will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The Blitz is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Cooper Iv keeping full guard, as The Blitz tries to pass. The Blitz drops back looking for a leg! Cooper Iv is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cooper Iv manages to kick The Blitz off! The Blitz jumps back into Cooper Iv's guard. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw The Blitz working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. The Blitz is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Blitz thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Cooper Iv wants to stand up but The Blitz is controlling him. The Blitz drops back looking for a leg! Cooper Iv is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cooper Iv manages to kick The Blitz off! The Blitz jumps back into Cooper Iv's guard. The Blitz looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The Blitz passes into half guard. Cooper Iv really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Cooper Iv is trying to control but can't.
The Blitz is looking for a kimura but Cooper Iv is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for The Blitz to get the leverage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The Blitz wants to pass to mount but Cooper Iv is defending the position. The Blitz seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Cooper Iv is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takamura misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
McPunchface tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. A solid leg kick lands there for Takamura.
McPunchface darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Takamura definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Takamura avoiding damage under a succession of punches from McPunchface. McPunchface not doing much here.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McPunchface with shots to the head and body - Takamura looks very uncomfortable down there. McPunchface lands a couple of good shots and Takamura has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McPunchface lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Takamura hold on?!
McPunchface is punishing Takamura with some ground and pound. McPunchface scoring with big shots to the body. Takamura is looking for a way out. A despairing look towards the ref and the official steps in to stop the fight. Takamura was obviously done but didn't want to tap out.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Porto looks to land a right hand but Push moved out of range. Push ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Porto misses with a shot to the body and Push counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Porto is looking to stand back up but Push counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Porto. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Porto tries to get to full guard but Push has control of the leg. Push works his way into full mount! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Push looking to control but Porto is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schluzenphugher uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Parker. Schluzenphugher will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Schluzenphugher loads up on a big right hand but Parker slips the punch. A nice combination there by Schluzenphugher.
Parker drops Schluzenphugher with a beautiful combination! Schluzenphugher stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Parker is looking for the KO!
It looks like Eisenberger Schluzenphugher has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Schluzenphugher misses with a takedown attempt - Parker sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Schluzenphugher has been working on his balance at 10th Planet Islanders, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Parker. Parker keeps the fight on the outside. Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Parker moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Schluzenphugher! Parker continues to tee off on Schluzenphugher, landing with a left and a right! Parker connects with a right hand that leaves Schluzenphugher sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Parker!

Akerman jumps guard but Martinez stands there with Akerman around his waist. Akerman gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Martinez creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Martinez looks more muscular than last time we saw him. That's one minute gone in the round. Martinez unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Akerman! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Martinez is unloading with more strikes now! Akerman drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Frank has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Gregg is landing a low percentage of strikes. Frank shoots in but no luck this time. Gregg scores with a shot to the body.
Gregg seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Frank dives in and grabs Gregg's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gregg pushes down on Frank's head and hops out. Frank dives in for a single leg takedown but Gregg sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Otis Gregg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Altidari Frank. Gregg throws a body shot but no joy. Frank looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gregg is fending him off so far but Frank persists. Nope, Gregg circles away and we're back to standing. Frank fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Frank takes a body punch but keeps moving. Gregg jabs Frank to the body, keeping him at a distance. This has been an exciting period of action! Frank gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Gregg gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

He thinks about going to the ground but Demetriou looks back up at him and smiles so Jenner waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones misses with a takedown attempt and Federline counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Jones shoots in but no luck this time. Jones moves out of range as Federline strikes. Jones moves out of range of the strikes. No luck for Jones with that takedown attempt. Federline really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jones wants to pass the guard but Federline is keeping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Federline is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Federline works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Jones with a nice head shot there. Jones content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Federline can do anything to dispel that myth. Jones missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Federline keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. Jones working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Federline working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jones. Jones throws a big right hand that misses. Jones trying to control but Federline is working from the bottom. Jones slips nicely into half guard. Jones throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Jones works his foot free and advances to mount.
