The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tamland throws a right and a left that both miss.
Rockwell on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Rockwell bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Mexes has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Anderson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Mexes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Anderson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mexes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Anderson has managed to get both his arms back between Mexes's legs - danger averted.
