And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rect Umm!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by McGregor!

It looks like Rect Umm has been cut.
Umm works McGregor's body with a nice hook.
Umm lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

It looks like Corey McGregor has been cut.
McGregor throws a lazy uppercut
and Umm cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Umm with a jab.
McGregor looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
McGregor throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
McGregor slips a straight right by Umm.
Umm lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
McGregor takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Corey McGregor's cut is getting worse.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Umm pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Umm dodges the punch combination from McGregor.
McGregor keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
McGregor lands with a shot to the body.
Umm looks to land a left hand but McGregor moved out of range nicely.
McGregor slips a straight right by Umm.
Umm bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Umm misses with a wild body shot.
It looked like McGregor wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Umm misses with a straight left.
Umm takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
McGregor fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Umm manages to avoid it.
Umm now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
McGregor throws a body punch but Umm moves out of range.
McGregor throws a body shot but no joy.
Umm avoids the body shot from McGregor.
Umm looks like he wants to counter punch here.
McGregor throws an off balance right hand
and Umm makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
McGregor misses with a straight right.
McGregor gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Umm.
Umm scores with a jab.
McGregor ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Umm misses with a two punch combination.
McGregor tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Umm was well out of range. Poor timing from McGregor.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Umm! But no joy.

Corey McGregor's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Umm slips under a jab.

Umm lands with a right, followed by a left to the temple and McGregor goes down! The ref sends Umm to a neutral corner so he can begin the count. 3,4,5,6 and McGregor is back to his feet. He seems a little groggy but the referee thinks he's OK to continue, so we're back to the action!
McGregor throws a shot from downtown. Umm moves away and avoids it.
A cross from Umm lands.

Jeez, Corey McGregor's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Corey McGregor's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Rect Umm! Rect Umm retains his light heavyweight title!
Rect Umm decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
The defeated Corey McGregor had this to say: 'Your the weakest enemy i've ever faced..Pwehhhh!!!!'.
