4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gustaf Scandinavian! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mordino throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Scandinavian's waist but Scandinavian gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mordino off to one side. Scandinavian looks to land a combination but Mordino avoids it well. Mordino has his takedown stuffed and Scandinavian counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Scandinavian. Scandinavian prevents a takedown attempt there.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Scandinavian has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. He turned his hip over nicely there. Erschov looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Ramsay Darrow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Darrow thuds his shin into the meat of Erschov's side. Erschov swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
