Ross comes to the cage accompanied by Johnny Cash - Ring of Fire. Osorolh Darar will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shane Ross! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Osorolh Darar! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Russell Pearce and Chad Campbell.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ross throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Darar tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ross paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ross circles away from the clinch attempt.
Darar throws a quick inside leg kick. Ross shoots in for a takedown but Darar shows good takedown defense. Ross checks the leg kick. Ross throws the left hand but Darar avoids the punch easily. A telegraphed right hand from Ross misses the target. Ross avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Darar fails with an attempt to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ross takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
 It looks like Shane Ross has been cut. Darar scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Darar misses with a body kick. Darar blocks a jab. Ross tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Shane Ross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Ross throws out a loose jab but Darar uses good head movement to avoid it. Ross misses with the combination.
Nice uppercut lands for Ross. That snapped Darar's head back.
Darar lands a glancing blow to the side of Ross's head. The fighters circling - Ross throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Ross shoots in for a takedown but Darar shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Ross looks to land a right hand but Darar moved out of range.
Darar clinches up against the cage. Darar landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Darar lands an elbow inside that Ross shrugs off. Darar throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Ross goes for a takedown in the clinch but Darar prevents it.
Ross tries to pull guard but Darar holds him up against the cage and eventually Ross drops back down to his feet.
Darar lands an elbow that stopped Ross in his tracks for a moment.

 Shane Ross's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ross takes an elbow to the forehead. Oh Ross is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Darar lands a nice elbow.
 Jeez, Shane Ross's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Darar lands a big knee! That's hurt Ross! Oh, he's all over the place! Darar lands another knee that sends Ross to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Matmat. Matmat fails to land the takedown. Matmat throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Slaughter sees it coming and avoids it easily. A looping hook to the body misses from Matmat. Slaughter does a little dance to reset his feet. Slaughter fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Slaughter with a body punch. A glancing blow. Slaughter swings for the body but Matmat moves out of range.
Slaughter is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Matmat.
Matmat closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Slaughter did well to prevent Matmat getting side control. Slaughter wants to get back to full guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Slaughter is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Slaughter slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Slaughter managing to control the position. Slaughter has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Matmat has passed into side control.
Slaughter wants to control but Matmat postures up.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Slaughter tries to bench press Matmat off him but Matmat keeps the position. Slaughter gets back to half guard. Matmat looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Slaughter tries to roll over but Matmat keeps him under control. Matmat drops an elbow to the side of Slaughter's head.
Matmat looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Slaughter is looking for a sweep. Matmat is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Slaughter trying to control here.
Matmat tries to pass to full mount but Slaughter defends it. Matmat looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Slaughter wants to improve his position but Matmat is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Slaughter avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Matmat.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Slaughter is staying active underneath Matmat, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
 The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Matmat misses with a hook. Slaughter ducked under it nicely. Slaughter stuffs the takedown attempt from Matmat. Matmat gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mat Matmat. That's going to take a lot out of him. Slaughter is looking to clinch. Slaughter throws a hook but Matmat avoids it easily. Matmat dips to his left and cracks Slaughter with an uppercut! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Slaughter tries to clinch there but Matmat circles away.
Matmat wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Slaughter swings for the body but Matmat moves out of range.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mat Matmat will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Matmat postures up in Slaughter's guard and throws a big left but Slaughter blocks it.

Matmat drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Slaughter dives on top into guard. Matmat keeping moving, preventing Slaughter from controlling successfully. Matmat keeping full guard, as Slaughter tries to pass. Matmat working a defensive guard here.

Slaughter got a little sloppy there for a moment and Matmat has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Slaughter has managed to get both his arms back between Matmat's legs - danger averted.

Slaughter would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Slaughter trying to control the position from guard on top but Matmat is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Slaughter trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
 It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Slaughter scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Slaughter swings for the body but Matmat moves out of range.
Slaughter lands with a shot to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Slaughter throws a jab when Matmat was well out of range. Slaughter misses with a jab to the body
and Matmat counters with a nice double leg into side control. Slaughter won't be happy with that. Slaughter is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Slaughter is not content to let Matmat control the position. Slaughter defending against the ground and pound. Slaughter manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Matmat on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
 That's four minutes gone in the round.
Matmat actively working from the bottom here. Slaughter sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Matmat defending well though. Slaughter is keen to just control but Matmat is a slippery customer. Matmat blocking the ground and pound attempt from Slaughter. Slaughter wants to take a breather but Matmat is having none of it. Slaughter throws a strike but Matmat avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Matmat gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Slaughter lands a nice shot to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Slaughter lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Christian Slaughter will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Matmat's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Matmat looks to land a right hand but Slaughter moved out of range. Slaughter waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Matmat. Matmat takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Slaughter wants to clinch up but Matmat keeps it at a distance. Slaughter fails in his attempt to clinch. Slaughter throws a body punch but Matmat moves out of range. Matmat misses the jab. Matmat misses with a body shot
and Slaughter counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Matmat thinking.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Slaughter lands a nice hook to Matmat's body. Matmat takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Slaughter tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Slaughter lands with a hook. Matmat tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Matmat fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Slaughter manages to avoid it. Slaughter misses with a two punch combination.
Slaughter tries to clinch but Matmat moves out of range. Christian Slaughter seems to be getting the better of the standup. Slaughter is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Matmat uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Slaughter. Slaughter lands a body shot.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Slaughter wants to clinch but Matmat slips to the side
and Matmat counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Slaughter wants to control but Matmat is keeping busy.
Slaughter is looking to improve his position.
Slaughter is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Matmat's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Matmat's back! Slaughter tries to keep control of the position but Matmat is staying busy. Matmat is taking damage to the body and head. Matmat trying to control the hands but Slaughter breaks the grip. Slaughter is trying to stick to Matmat's back but Matmat is turning into Slaughter. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Slaughter's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Matmat.
Slaughter throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Matmat escapes and throws Slaughter's legs to the side, diving into side control!
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Matmat trying to control the action but Slaughter is working from the bottom. Matmat laying and praying for a moment but Slaughter takes advantage and regains half guard. Slaughter is trying to get back to full guard. Matmat wants to take a breather but Slaughter is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! Christian Slaughter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Slaughter has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shaw fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Shaw takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. James moves away from the strike by Shaw. James works over Shaw's head and body with a nice combination.
 It looks like John Shaw has been cut. Shaw fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Shaw with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling James to score with a decent uppercut. James throws a looping overhand right but Shaw ducks down to avoid it. Shaw drops his hands momentarily and James takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. James ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Shaw loads up on a big right hand but James slips the punch. Shaw shoots in for a takedown but James shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Shaw. That's going to take a lot out of him. James dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Shaw throws a sloppy body shot
enabling James to counter with a crisp jab. A big right from James misses. James takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Shaw throws a hook to the side of James's head but James sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. James has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Shaw misses the body punch and James counters with a lovely shot to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Shaw fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches James on the side of the head. James missing with a left hand there. Shaw was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Shaw misses the jab. Shaw misses with a straight left.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Jab from James. Shaw shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. James defends it nicely. Nice jab there from James. Shaw looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? James is fending him off so far but Shaw persists. Nope, James circles away and we're back to standing. Shaw has a takedown stuffed. Shaw is breathing heavily. James bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. James sizes up Shaw with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Shaw swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Shaw feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. James wants to get back to his feet but Shaw is in a dominant position and won't allow it. James looking for a sweep. Not yet James, not yet. James keeping moving, preventing Shaw from controlling successfully. Shaw throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as James works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
James manages to escape and get back to his feet.
James moves into range and clinches up with Shaw.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. James comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
James escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
James darts in and clinches Shaw up against the cage. James lands a body punch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. James tries to circle away but Shaw has him pinned against the cage. James makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Shaw is really struggling to find his range with his punches. James's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. James blocks a punch to the side of the head.
James stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Good body shot from James.

James has Shaw up against the cage in a clinch.
James's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Shaw cracks James with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Shaw takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Shaw throws a hook but James blocks it. Nice uppercut lands for James. That snapped Shaw's head back.
James lands a jab.
James drives through and clinches with Shaw against the cage.
Shaw tries to throw a body punch but James avoids it by throwing Shaw back against the cage. James lands with a right to the head. A nice left hand lands by James.
A short right from James on the inside. James lands a hook that snaps the head of Shaw backwards.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Shaw swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Shaw is trying to break free. Shaw has had enough of the clinch but James keeps him there for the moment. James works on Shaw's body with a couple of short punches.

James slips a jab from Shaw. Shaw takes a shot to the body in his stride.
James tries to clinch but Shaw moves out of range. James ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Shaw takes one to the chin there. James will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
James scores with a jab to the jaw. James scores with a sloppy right hand. Shaw should have avoided that one. James jabs Shaw right on the nose. Shaw blinks but takes it well. Shaw drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. James swings for the body but Shaw moves out of range.
James has taken the fight to the clinch.

James pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Ouch! a nice leg kick from James, right into the meat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Shaw takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Shaw shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Shaw takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. James fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. James moves into range and connects with a jab. James lands a slapping body shot.
James scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Shaw doesn't seem bothered though. James paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. James lands with a nice combination. Shaw backs away looking to recover. James connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
 Shaw is rocked! The fighters circle momentarily. James darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Oh Shaw is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! James lands with a shot to the body. James cracks Shaw on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Shaw falls backwards against the cage. James follows up with more strikes that drop Shaw to his knees. James keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Shaw! This one is all over!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lao misses with a jab, cross combination.
Lao tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Lao throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hernandez. Lao changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hernandez tries to avoid it but Lao manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hernandez to the ground. Hernandez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Lao looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hernandez is fending him off so far but Lao persists. Nope, Hernandez circles away and we're back to standing. The fighters circle momentarily. Thompson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Biggums's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Biggums's back!
