Orava lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Booker is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Orava is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Battock with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Fawce misses with a low kick.
Battock scores with a sloppy right hand. Fawce should have avoided that one.
Fawce has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Battock throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Fawce sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Battock staying out of range there.
Battock throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Battock displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fawce throws out the jab.
Battock is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Fawce shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Battock sprawls well. Battock wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fawce gets slowly back to his feet.

Fawce closes the distance and clinches up with Battock, looking for a takedown. Fawce pushes Battock against the cage but Battock circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Battock fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Fawce swings widly with a right hand
and Battock counters with a three punch combo that has Fawce backing up. Fawce nods at Battock to acknowledge the strikes.

Battock looks to land a right hand but Fawce moved out of range.
Battock misses with a straight right.
A nice side step and Fawce releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

A solid body kick from Battock.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Battock lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

A lazy left from Battock finds it's target.
Fawce is still on wobbly legs! Can Battock finish him?
John Battock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fawce doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Battock counters with a lovely straight right hand!
John Battock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Fawce.
Fawce walks straight into a right hand from Battock - that's dropped him! Battock jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Fawce from any more punishment! Fawce complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
