Ripper is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ripper looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? David is fending him off so far but Ripper persists. Nope, David circles away and we're back to standing.
Ripper throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Ripper counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

That was a close second round but I would say that Craig David will probably get the nod.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Ripper's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Ripper escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Ripper feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

David had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ripper defends it easily.

David throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

David working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ripper doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ripper manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
David tries to get to full guard but Ripper has control of the leg.
Ripper uses his free foot to push down on David's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for David.

Jack Ripper comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ripper has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Borec comes to the cage accompanied by Carl orff - o fortuna. The crowd seem to be enjoying Robinson's choice of entrance music: The Verve- Bittersweet Symphony. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Aamakualenalena Robinson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.
