The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacNeill throws a good cross that connects.
MacNeill looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
MacNeill darts in looking for a takedown but Emelianenko gets double underhooks and turns MacNeill into the cage.
Emelianenko bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

It looks like Fiachra MacNeill has been cut.

Emelianenko fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging MacNeill to the ground. Emelianenko is now in MacNeill's guard.

Pspic stalks Wolf and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Wolf's face. Wolf staggers backwards, shaken.

Wolf throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Pspic's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Wolf dives in looking to finish as Pspic flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Wolf's strikes! Wolf is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Pspic's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Pspic was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
