 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brixton fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dalisay manages to avoid it. Brixton moves out of range of the strikes. Brixton steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dalisay. Brixton wants to clinch.
Brixton pushes Dalisay up against the cage in a clinch. Dalisay is trying to break free. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kurtz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Duggan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kurtz has managed to get both his arms back between Duggan's legs - danger averted. Duggan lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kurtz preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kurtz scores with a nice strike. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Duggan fails with an attempt to clinch.

Kurtz is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Duggan is working Kurtz over with some ground and pound from side control. Duggan postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Duggan stalling away here and it's allowed Kurtz to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Kurtz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jacks catches Payne with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Payne walks into a jab. Jacks dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Jacks dips to his left and cracks Payne with an uppercut! Payne blocks a jab. Jacks punishes Payne's body with a nice straight punch. Jacks connects with a single shot there. Jacks jabs Payne right on the nose. Payne blinks but takes it well. Jacks has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Jacks tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Payne was well out of range. Poor timing from Jacks. A little feinted left hand from Payne on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Jacks misses with an uppercut. A counter left hand to the body from Payne misses its target. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Payne takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
A left lands for Jacks. Jacks shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Payne counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Jacks scores with a shot to the body.
Payne uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jacks. Payne throws a big counter combination but Jacks scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Payne takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Jacks wants to clinch.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Jacks fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Jacks is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Payne avoids the body shot from Jacks.
Jacks works the jab nicely. Jacks throws out a loose jab but Payne uses good head movement to avoid it. Payne went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Nice straight punches there by Jacks. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Jacks. Jacks bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Jacks thuds a left hand into Payne's body.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Good standup being displayed there by Jacks as he connects with a hook. Jacks misses with a hook
and Payne counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
