The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yang sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Link's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Link duly obliges.
Link looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Yang takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Link lands a nice leg kick that just misses Yang's sensitive parts.
Yang moves out of range as Link throws a body kick.
Link leaves Yang with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Link explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Yang changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Link looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Link shoots in looking for a takedown but Yang manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Link's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Yang shoots for a double leg takedown but Link sprawls well. He's pushed Yang's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Boa Link has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Emon Yang.

Link connects with a leg kick. Yang looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Link fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Yang.
Yang stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Yang wants it to stay on the feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Link shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Yang shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Link's guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Boa Link.

Fatiman is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Nazoruk looks calm but he's in trouble here. Fatiman gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Nazoruk is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Fatiman lets go of the hold and Nazoruk can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Manchinha is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Downdin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Downdin lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Manchinha head around and knocks him out cold! Downdin hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
