The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eighteen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Eighteen off to one side.
Johnson's corner calls for a 1-2. Johnson obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Eighteen shoots in for a double leg but Johnson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Eighteen is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Eighteen has Johnson pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Johnson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Oh Eighteen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Carter (ranked 964 p4p, 151 weight class) and Jesus Malverde (ranked 1196 p4p, 185 weight class). John Carter had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.7lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.
