Sagaki shoots in and drives through. Elder sprawls well.
Elder looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Elder closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Elder lands in his opponent's guard.

Sagaki is looking to cinch up a triangle. Elder throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Sagaki's body to avoid the submission. Sagaki has instead reached around Elder's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Sagaki arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Alfazchanzo throws an overhand right that lands on Lootin's shoulder, as Lootin tries to avoid the shot.

Goon is pressed up against the cage. Pierda has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Goon down to the mat. Goon avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Pierda is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Goon moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Carter has chosen Lil'Wayne - I'm Me as his entrance music. Wayne Carter told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Allen seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Carter walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Allen checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Carter looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Allen closes the distance and clinches.

Allen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Allen throws a lazy right hand but Carter sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Allen looks to land a right hand but Carter moved out of range.
Allen scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Carter shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Wayne Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Carter throws a lazy right hand but Allen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

As Carter looks to move away, Allen throws a big counter combo but Carter just gets out of the way.
Carter lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Carter misses with a series of wild punches.

and Allen counters with a nice uppercut.
