The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marker listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Marker stuffs the takedown. kurkela tries for a takedown but Marker sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Decent striking displayed by Marker there. Marker lands with a straight right. kurkela didn't see that one coming. kurkela has a takedown stuffed. Josh Marker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of janpeter kurkela. kurkela on the wrong end of a nice hook.
kurkela is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Marker cracks kurkela with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Marker has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning kurkela to stand back up! kurkela is still on wobbly legs! Can Marker finish him? kurkela shoots in and drives through. Marker sprawls well. kurkela takes a body punch but keeps moving. kurkela seems to have recovered his senses. kurkela looks gassed! Marker closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops kurkela! Marker dives in looking to finish! kurkela is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Ramada looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Lindros throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ramada shoots in for a takedown but Lindros shows good takedown defense. Ramada takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Lindros looks to throw the jab but Ramada is out of range. Lindros cracks Ramada with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Ramada looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Lindros finish him?
It looks like Ray Ramada has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Lindros thows a left - swing and a miss! Eric Lindros seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lindros circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Ramada tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Lindros wins by KO!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Medeiros looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Knight! Knight's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Medeiros with shots to the head and body - Knight looks very uncomfortable down there. Knight tries to lock up and control but Medeiros gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Knight is trying to stand. Knight is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Medeiros sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Medeiros's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Medeiros has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Knight prevents Medeiros from taking his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Knight tries to lock up and control but Medeiros gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Knight is squirming around, avoiding Medeiros's attempts to control the action. Knight tries to hold on but Medeiros pushes him away. Medeiros trying to control but he's not successful this time. Poor strikes thrown by Medeiros there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Knight wants to control but Medeiros is having none of it. Medeiros tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Knight defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Medeiros. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Medeiros throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Knight can't escape the position.
Medeiros stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Medeiros clinches up against the cage. Medeiros ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Medeiros no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Knight slips nicely into half guard. Knight wants to pass the guard but Medeiros is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Knight is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Knight is thwarting Medeiros's attempts to control the position. Knight wants to take a breather but Medeiros is having none of it. Knight is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Knight is working for a kimura but Medeiros is defending it quite comfortably.
Knight looks gassed! Medeiros trying to hold on to Knight's head to control him but Knight postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Medeiros actively working from the bottom here.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Knight misses with a takedown attempt and Medeiros counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Medeiros scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Medeiros trying to control the pace. Medeiros trying to control the action but Knight is working from the bottom. Ground and pound from Medeiros. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ebenezer Medeiros dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Medeiros bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Knight's guard. Knight looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Medeiros wants to control from the top but Knight keeps moving. Medeiros throwing strikes but missing. Knight keeping moving, preventing Medeiros from controlling successfully. Medeiros loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Knight looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Medeiros passes into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Medeiros is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Knight is just riding it out for now. Medeiros eventually gives up the hold. Medeiros has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Knight looking for submissions off his back. Medeiros keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Medeiros is looking for a kimura but Knight is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Medeiros to get the leverage. Medeiros wants to work for an arm triangle but Knight is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Knight is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Medeiros pulls his head out easily. Ebenezer Medeiros overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Knight is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Medeiros wants to take a breather but Knight is having none of it.

Knight drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Medeiros gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Medeiros has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Knight avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Knight throws a head punch that misses. Medeiros tries to pull guard but Knight won't allow it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slow jab from Munoz misses its intended target. Taylor looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Munoz fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Munoz slips a jab and a cross from Taylor.
Taylor moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Munoz misses with an uppercut. Munoz lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Taylor throws a right and a left that Munoz avoids nicely. Taylor should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Munoz throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Taylor sees it coming and avoids it easily. Munoz connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Munoz is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Munoz jabbing away but nothing is landing. Munoz sizes up Taylor with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Munoz bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Taylor's head backwards. Munoz connects with a nice looking jab.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ramaaker slips under a jab. Ramaaker thows a left - swing and a miss! Ramaaker catches Ahriman with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
It looks like Magnus Ahriman has been cut. Ahriman ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Ramaaker throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ahriman steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ramaaker. Maarten Ramaaker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ramaaker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ahriman. Ramaaker ducks under a wild hook from Ahriman. Ramaaker lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ramaaker is looking to get to half guard. Ahriman lands with some strikes. Ahriman wants to control the pace but Ramaaker is squirming around nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ahriman controlling the position easily from mount. The referee warns Ramaaker that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Ramaaker is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Ahriman landing strikes from the mount and Ramaaker is in trouble!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ahriman tries to control but Ramaaker wriggling away. Ramaaker sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Ahriman lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Ramaaker is concentrating on defense, preventing Ahriman from advancing position. Ramaaker is refusing to be controlled, as Ahriman sits in half guard. Ramaaker is trying to maintain the position but Ahriman is very close to passing his half guard. Ramaaker works his way to full guard. Good work. Ramaaker is trying to keep Ahriman in close.
Ahriman sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ramaaker's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ramaaker is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Ramaaker wants to control but Ahriman is keeping busy.

Ahriman is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Ramaaker's shoulder. That is not cool. Ramaaker is trying to control Ahriman's posture but Ahriman avoids it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ramaaker scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Magnus Ahriman will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Magnus Ahriman's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Ramaaker is bucking up trying to escape but Ahriman cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Ramaaker throwing hammer fists to the chest of Ahriman. What's that going to do exactly? Ramaaker avoids a series of strikes thrown by Ahriman.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ramaaker manages to escape and get back to his feet! Ahriman misses with a wild body shot. Ahriman moves away from the strike by Ramaaker. Ahriman steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ramaaker. Ahriman shoots in but Ramaaker avoids the takedown attempt easily. Ahriman uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ramaaker. Ramaaker swings for the body but Ahriman moves out of range.

Ahriman does a little dance to reset his feet. Ahriman decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Ramaaker is breathing heavily. Ahriman stops Ramaaker from getting back to his feet.

Ramaaker manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Ramaaker is thwarting Ahriman's attempts to control the position. Ramaaker is keen to just control but Ahriman is a slippery customer.

No joy there for Ramaaker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A jab lands there for Ahriman. Ramaaker jabbing away but nothing is landing. Ramaaker throws a series of punches but Ahriman avoids them all with ease. Maarten Ramaaker has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ahriman displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ramaaker throws out the jab. Ahriman slips a jab and a cross from Ramaaker.
Ramaaker looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Ahriman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Ramaaker has his foot on Ahriman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ahriman works his way back into a safe position though. Ramaaker can't keep his opponent in guard - Ahriman advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Ahriman controlling the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ahriman has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Ramaaker missing with punches from the bottom.
Ramaaker wants to improve his position but Ahriman is controlling well.
Ramaaker tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Ramaaker is looking for a sweep. Ahriman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ramaaker is staying active underneath Ahriman, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Ahriman swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Ramaaker. Ahriman scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Magnus Ahriman showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ahriman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
