Undercard bout

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Angel Pierce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Jimenez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pierce comes into the arena with Billy Talent - Devil On My Shoulder blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Wallace is working to tighten is grip on Jaquier's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Jaquier has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Wallace is really squeezing tight and eventually Jaquier passes out! Wallace breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

A jab from Stelian misses.
Stelian shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Polk sprawls well. Polk wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stelian gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zvonimir Stelian. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Polk moves out of range of the body kick.
Stelian tries to close the distance and clinch but Polk swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Polk blocks a jab.
Stelian thows a leg kick but Polk checks it
and Polk counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Stelian misses with a body shot.
Polk scores with a jab to the jaw.
Polk cracks Stelian with a right hand to the side of the head.
Zvonimir Stelian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A swing and a miss from Polk.

and Polk counters with a straight right hand.

Polk lands a left and a right that send Stelian crashing to the mat, dazed. Polk thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Stelian is rocked!

It looks like Zvonimir Stelian has been cut.
Stelian is breathing heavily.
Polk grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Stelian takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Polk cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
