Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Weber (ranked 25640 p4p, 898 weight class) and The Sewer Rat (ranked 24890 p4p, 908 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Weber might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Pumped Up Kicks. On his way into the cage it seems that Jake Weber has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jake Weber seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, The Sewer Rat! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Russell Pearce and Franklyn Lucas.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rat misses with a two punch combination.
Nice uppercut there from Rat.
 It looks like Jake Weber has been cut. Weber avoids the body shot from Rat.
Weber clinches with his opponent.
Rat looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. A right handed body shot lands from Weber.
Weber jumps guard and drags Rat to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Weber working for a triangle but Rat defends it easily.
Weber pulls Rat in close to prevent any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rat stopping the sweep attempt from Weber.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Weber manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rat manages to get himself to full guard.
Rat can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Weber controls the pace. Weber works a leg free and moves into half guard. Weber trying to control the pace. Rat has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Weber is working away from the top position though.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Weber stalling.
Weber stands up out of the half guard. Rat throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. The fight stays on the outside here - Rat looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Weber tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rat defends well and Weber ends up having to push Rat into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Rat dives in for a single leg takedown but Weber sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Weber closes the distance and clinches. Weber blocks the elbow strike.
Rat can't get the takedown.
Knees to the body from Rat.
Rat wants to break the clinch but can't.
Rat misses with a knee strike.
Weber breaks the clinch.
Rat tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Weber is able to avoid easily. No luck for Rat with that takedown attempt. Jake Weber has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of The Sewer Rat. Weber looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Weber moves in looking to clinch but Rat pushes him off. Weber goes for a double leg but Rat avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Rat continues to drive forward.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Weber misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rat looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Weber throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Rat.
Rat closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. This has been an exciting period of action! Weber tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Weber is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Rat gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Weber is breathing heavily. Weber tries to break free but Rat pushes him back against the cage. Weber drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Rat gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Weber avoids a wild elbow strike from Rat. Weber takes a shot to the head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rat has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Weber is looking to take this one to the mat. Weber dodges an elbow strike from Rat.
Rat tries to pull guard but Weber holds him up against the cage and eventually Rat drops back down to his feet.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but The Sewer Rat will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jake Weber's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Weber lands with a kick to the temple. Rat shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Rat lands a slapping body shot.
Jake Weber is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Weber throws a nice looking combination but Rat bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Weber gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Rat is trying to break the clinch but Weber is controlling him. Rat throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Weber decides to pull guard. Weber keeping moving, preventing Rat from controlling successfully. Rat must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rat is fighting to break Weber's control of his arms but Weber is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Weber escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rat gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Rat wants to control from the top but Weber keeps moving.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Weber shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Weber thows a huge punch but Rat dodges it nicely.
Weber passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Rat! Rat is trying to escape the mount.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Weber tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Rat tries to hold on but Weber postures up. Weber controlling the position easily from mount. Weber lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Weber dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Jake Weber's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Rat throws a head kick that misses. Rat jabbing away but nothing is landing. Weber shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rat as he avoids it easily.

Rat breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Rat keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Weber shoots in and drives through. Rat sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Weber. That's going to take a lot out of him. Weber staying out of range there. Donk. Rat catches Weber right on the button with a cross. The crowd cheers as Rat lands an impressive looking overhand right. Weber doesn't seem phased though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rat might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Weber haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Weber pulls Rat in close to his closed guard and prevents Rat from doing any damage or advancing position. Weber keeping moving, preventing Rat from controlling successfully. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Weber is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Weber fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Rat misses with a hook. Weber ducked under it nicely. Rat wants to clinch up but Weber keeps it at a distance. Weber is looking for a counter combo. Rat throws a nice outside leg kick. Rat lands a jab.
Rat rushes Weber and presses him up against the cage. Weber tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rat smiles and moves away.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Rat tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Weber manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. The Sewer Rat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rat scores with a jab. Weber acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Weber takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Weber is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Weber takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Rat fails in his attempt to clinch.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Weber breaks from the clinch.
Rat cracks Weber with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Rat has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Weber to stand back up!
 Weber is rocked!
 Jake Weber's cut is getting worse. Rat plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Weber swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Weber face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!

Johnson takes the fight into the clinch.
Johnson wants the takedown. Gashi is fighting it off but Johnson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Gashi's guard against the cage.
Gashi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Johnson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Johnson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Johnson trying to control but Gashi is working from the bottom.
Gashi is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Johnson rolls with it to try and escape but Gashi cranks on the arm and Johnson is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rand throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hills's waist but Hills gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rand off to one side. Hills throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Rand stumbling backwards into the cage! Rand bounces back off the cage towards Hills, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Hills lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Hills celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Mike Hills! In his post fight interview, Mike Hills started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

Hudson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sheedy sprawls well. Sheedy wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hudson gets slowly back to his feet. Sheedy tests Hudson's chin there with a solid looking shot. Sheedy connects with a body shot. Hudson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Hudson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Hudson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sheedy looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hudson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sheedy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hudson controls the position from side control. Hudson scoring with punches from side control. Sheedy felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Hudson working away. Hudson working the head with strikes. Hudson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hudson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sheedy, who protects the arm well. Hudson is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Sheedy will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Hudson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sheedy doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hudson.

Hudson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hudson has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Sheedy defend it? Hudson steps over the head and cranks it - Sheedy is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Hudson!

After the fight, Jeff Hudson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

May jabs McDonald right on the nose. McDonald blinks but takes it well. McDonald tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but May paws at him with a jab and circles away. A little feinted left hand from May on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. McDonald with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling May to score with a decent uppercut. McDonald closes the distance looking to clinch and May counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. McDonald is looking to clinch but May is avoiding it.
May changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. McDonald has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
 It looks like David McDonald has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! May cracks McDonald's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! McDonald slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before May can do further damage! This one is done, son!
