Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Rutherford (ranked 2030 p4p, 209 weight class) and Brazilian Burger (ranked 2621 p4p, 257 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rutherford staying out of range there.
Burger closes the distance and clinches up with Rutherford, looking for a takedown. Burger pushes Rutherford against the cage but Rutherford circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Rutherford quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Burger shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Burger on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rutherford. Rutherford obviously looking to wear him down.
Burger is looking to score with low kicks.
Burger shoots for a double leg takedown but Rutherford sprawls well. He's pushed Burger's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

He's out! He's out cold! Rutherford gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Bolas stalks Washington and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Washington's face. Washington staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Ronald Washington has been cut.
Washington throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bolas sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Bolas lands a big right hand that sends Washington crashing to the mat! Bolas stays standing though and waves Washington back to his feet!

Washington is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Washington switches off momentarily and Bolas cracks him with a monster right hand! Washington topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Bolas dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Bolas!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moore throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Head clobbers Vasquez with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Vasquez doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Head lands a jab to Vasquez's midsection.
We've been informed that Vasquez has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Vasquez drops his hands momentarily and Head takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Head throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Vasquez on the side of the head.

Vasquez shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Head looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Head scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Vasquez is looking for the big counter here.

Vasquez takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
