The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steve slips a jab and a cross from Varnersson.

Nazz Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Lee.

and Lee counters with a straight right hand. Lee throws an overhand right that lands on Harris 's shoulder, as Harris tries to avoid the shot. A punch combination from Harris misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lee scores with a decent looking hook. BOOM! Lee lands a beautiful left hook that drops Harris . Harris tries to recover but Lee is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Harris lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sloppy strikes from Octavian. Those never looked like landing. Quintus Octavian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Octavian moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Stedman forces Octavian back against the cage and clinches. Octavian struggles to land a body shot inside as Stedman controls his hands.

Stedman falls back against the cage and Octavian unloads with a barrage of strikes! Stedman is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Octavian screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lassiter fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Lassiter uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Butler takes one on the button. Butler shoots in looking for a takedown but Lassiter manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Butler's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Lassiter attempts a counter takedown but Butler avoids it well and moves away. Butler blocks a low kick nicely. Butler uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lassiter.
Lassiter has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Furnace in the buildup to the fight. Nice jab there from Lassiter. Lassiter darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Nice takedown defense from Nickolson. No joy for Tang on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pootie Tang. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tang shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling Nickolson to counter with a crisp jab. Nickolson lands a body shot.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harmbe throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wallace sees it coming and avoids it easily. It looked like Wallace wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. A shot to the body from Harmbe misses and Wallace connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Harmbe jabs Wallace to the body, keeping him at a distance. Harmbe takes a swing at Wallace's ribcage but misses. Harmbe throws a head kick but Wallace moves out of range.

Harmbe closes the distance and pushes Wallace back into the cage. Harmbe has Wallace pressed against the cage, preventing Wallace from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Wallace breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Wallace swinging wildly here.

Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Harmbe connects with a nasty looking knee right to Wallace's face.
Harmbe wants the takedown. Wallace is fighting it off but Harmbe persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Wallace's guard against the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Harmbe throws a big right hand that misses. Harmbe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Harmbe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wallace swivels though and keeps the full guard. Harmbe loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Harmbe trying to control the position from guard on top but Wallace is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Harmbe scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Wallace is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Wallace throws a series of strikes that have Harmbe backpedaling.
Harmbe lunges at Wallace with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Wallace's hand. Harmbe rushes Wallace and presses him up against the cage. Harmbe lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Harmbe has hold of one of Wallace's legs. Wallace is fighting the takedown attempt but Harmbe gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Harmbe throwing strikes from guard but Wallace blocks nicely. Harmbe throws an elbow that misses. Wallace uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Harmbe's guard. Nice move by Wallace!
Harmbe has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Wallace should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Harmbe has tightened it up now! Wallace should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Ludwig Von Mises decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matheus Knorr! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Reed Andrews and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sheze jabs at Knorr's body. Knorr doesn't succeed with the takedown enabling Sheze to counter with a crisp jab. Sheze lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Knorr at a distance.
Matheus Knorr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A right-left combo lands from Sheze. Sheze connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Knorr tumbling to the canvas! Sheze pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Knorr was done - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Mnajdra Sheze! Mnajdra Sheze is the new lightweight champion! A relieved looking Mnajdra Sheze thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
