2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Youkou Oonishi! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davidson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Oonishi moves into the clinch. Oonishi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Davidson misses with a takedown attempt - Oonishi sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Oonishi drives through and clinches with Davidson against the cage.
Davidson has had enough of the clinch but Oonishi keeps him there for the moment. Davidson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Oonishi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Davidson wants to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Oonishi clinches with his opponent.

Davidson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Oonishi swivels and escapes. Oonishi wants to counter with a clinch but Davidson pushes him away. Davidson works over Oonishi's head and body with a nice combination. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Davidson clinches. Oonishi jumps into guard, dragging Davidson to the mat.

Oonishi is looking for a kimura but Davidson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Oonishi to get the leverage. Davidson tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Davidson is defending against the submission attempts here by Oonishi.

Makaronelli is looking for the big counter here. Raquel Juarez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Juarez with a poor takedown and Makaronelli moves into the clinch. Makaronelli working hard to break the clinch. Juarez decides to pull guard. Juarez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cave with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Clack to score with a decent uppercut.
It looks like Nick Cave has been cut. Clack bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Clack working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Clack trying to control the position but Cave is working away. Clack tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Clack has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cave isn't going anywhere. Cave is not content to let Clack control the position. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lotbrook fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Malatesta sprawls well initially but Lotbrook persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Lotbrook prevents Malatesta from improving his position. Lotbrook wants to control but Malatesta is keeping him busy. Malatesta is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Malatesta is working hard here to advance position. Malatesta makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Malatesta. Lotbrook wants to control from the top but Malatesta keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lotbrook stopping the sweep attempt from Malatesta. Malatesta bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lotbrook's guard. Malatesta looking to pass the guard. Lotbrook is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Malatesta defends well. Malatesta might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Malatesta is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Malatesta lands a couple of elbows. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Malatesta lands a couple of digs.
Lotbrook is rocked! Malatesta stands up over Lotbrook, holding on to his feet. Malatesta throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Lotbrook is out cold! Malatesta lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daley throws an overhand right that lands on Appi's shoulder, as Appi tries to avoid the shot. Daley lands the left hand. Appi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Appi lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Appi lands a nice shot to the body.
Appi lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Appi fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Appi misses with a left hand and Daley connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Appi pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Daley back to the cage. Appi follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. This has been an exciting period of action! Appi connects with a good right hand that stumbles Daley. Daley circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Appi fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Appi swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Daley lands a hook to the side of the head. A head punch blocked on the inside by Appi. Daley misses with a hook from the clinch. A nice left hand lands by Appi.
Daley's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Daley throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Appi's corner calls for a 1-2. Appi obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Nice uppercut there from Daley. Daley misses with the combination.
Appi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Daley. That did some damage!

and Daley counters with a straight right hand. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Appi takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Daley misses with a lunging right hand
and Appi counters with a three punch combo that has Daley backing up. Daley nods at Appi to acknowledge the strikes. A nice combination there by Appi.
It looks like Denton Daley has been cut. Daley throws a big shot that misses. Daley blocks a jab. Appi takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Appi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Daley sees it coming and avoids it easily. Appi throws a right and a left that both miss. It looked like Daley was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Appi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Daley throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Appi counters with a series of strikes. Daley will be more careful next time no doubt. Appi connects with a crisp jab. Hervoton Appi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Appi misses with a hook
and Daley counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Daley fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Daley catches Appi with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Appi is rocked! Appi gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Daley points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Appi wakes up just in time to hear Daley thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Speed throws a sloppy head kick and Valentine moves out of range easily. A little jabbing left from Valentine on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Speed looks to score with a jab to the body but Valentine is just out of range. A nice combination there by Speed.
It looks like Leon Valentine has been cut. Tyson Speed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Speed throws a head kick that misses. Speed lands a jab-cross combination. Speed lands a big head kick that sends Valentine tumbling to the mat! Speed takes a step backwards and waves Valentine back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Valentine is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Speed throws a powerful right kick. Valentine tried to block low but the kick was high! Valentine was taken right off of his feet! Speed jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ballzonya slips a jab from McCormick. Ballzonya seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. McCormick uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ballzonya has time to react. Ballzonya just misses with a punch to the body.
Ballzonya looks to score with a jab to the body but McCormick is just out of range. McCormick looks like he wants to counter punch here. McCormick scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. McCormick scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ballzonya doesn't seem bothered though. Ballzonya with a hook. McCormick clobbers Ballzonya with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. McCormick getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Ballzonya looks to score with a jab to the body but McCormick is just out of range. McCormick throws a solid leg kick but Ballzonya takes the impact on his shin and smiles at McCormick.

McCormick throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ballzonya darts in and out, connecting with a jab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ballzonya scores with a crisp jab that stopped McCormick in his tracks. McCormick throws a body kick that misses and Ballzonya counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Ballzonya pivots, looking for a leg kick but McCormick is out of range and Ballzonya settles back down. McCormick throws a body shot but no joy. Ballzonya throws a right hand that misses
and McCormick counters with a stiff right hand. Ballzonya throws a body punch but McCormick moves out of range. McCormick swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Ballzonya fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McCormick manages to avoid it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McCormick ducks under a wild hook from Ballzonya. Ballzonya misses with a straight right. Nice shot by McCormick. McCormick with a nice cross. McCormick throws a lazy right hand but Ballzonya sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Ballzonya lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McCormick circles away quickly and effectively. McCormick doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. McCormick checks the leg kick nicely there.
Ballzonya keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Grant tries to get to full guard but Finyard has control of the leg. Finyard working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Grant's thigh. Grant counters though and makes it back to full guard. Finyard wanted to stand there but Grant had control of the position. Finyard missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Finyard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Grant wants to sweep but no luck. Finyard is working Grant over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Grant wants to improve his position but instead Finyard has moved into half guard.

No, Grant has managed to free his arm - good work. Finyard is trying to control. Grant wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Grant controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Finyard working the head and body with strikes. Finyard controlling the action here. Grant won't allow Finyard to pass to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Grant has one foot on Finyard's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Finyard closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Grant quickly recovers to half guard. Finyard controlling the action here. Grant is doing well to control the position and prevent Finyard from advancing to side control. Finyard looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Grant with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Grant is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Finyard's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Finyard's back!

Grant gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Finyard dives in for a single leg takedown but Grant sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Finyard shoots in for a takedown but Grant shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Grant fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Finyard looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Grant darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Grant throws a hook to the side of Finyard's head but Finyard sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Grant circles away from the clinch attempt.
Finyard doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Finyard closes the distance and clinches. Grant is trying to break the clinch but Finyard is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Finyard tries to pull guard but Grant holds him up against the cage and eventually Finyard drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zackary Finyard. That's going to take a lot out of him. Grant's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Manus Grant is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Grant throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Finyard shoots in for a takedown but Grant shows good takedown defense. Grant looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Grant throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Grant keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Finyard tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Grant let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Manus Grant seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Finyard shoots for a double leg takedown but Grant sprawls well. He's pushed Finyard's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Grant throws a jab when Finyard was well out of range. Grant looks to score with a jab to the body but Finyard is just out of range. Finyard is looking for a counter combo. Grant throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Good leg kick by Grant there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

A jab from Finyard finds it's way through Grant's defenses. Grant throws a leg kick and Finyard counters with a nice uppercut. Finyard has closed the distance and engaged Grant in a clinch.
Grant lands a body shot. Finyard is looking to take this one to the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zackary Finyard. That's going to take a lot out of him. Finyard manages to pull guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Grant trying to control but Finyard is working from the bottom.

Finyard tries to land a sweep but no joy. Finyard is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Grant has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Grant is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Finyard prevents Grant from standing back up.
Grant wants to get back to full guard but Finyard has mounted him! Finyard is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Grant can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

It's a bit of a token attempt though and Grant regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Finyard can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Grant is looking to escape.

Grant throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Finyard tries to move into range but Grant moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Good leg kick by Grant there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A head kick by Grant misses and Finyard counters with a right hand to the body. A telegraphed right hand from Grant misses the target. Grant keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. A countering left hand to the body from Grant misses. Nice sprawl there from Grant as Finyard shoots in. Finyard shoots for a takedown but Grant saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Finyard takes a jab right on the kisser.
Finyard is rocked! Finyard uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Grant.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Grant avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Grant changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Grant ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Finyard moves away. Finyard shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Grant defends it nicely. Both fighters are breathing heavily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Grant throws a lazy head kick and Finyard counters with a nice double leg into guard. Finyard sitting in guard, not really doing much. Finyard throwing strikes from guard but Grant blocks nicely. Grant looking for a sweep. Not yet Grant, not yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grant wants to stand up but Finyard is controlling him. Grant not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Grant is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Finyard wants to get back to his feet. Grant is looking to take a break and control but Finyard is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Finyard trying to control here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Finyard is adopting a defensive guard. Finyard looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Finyard is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Grant defends well. Grant decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Finyard, up you get! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Grant with a body punch. A glancing blow. A bone on bone clash there as Finyard blocks the leg kick.
Grant tries to land a leg kick but Finyard saw it coming and moves away.
And that's the end of the fight! Manus Grant comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Grant has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
