The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laiho tries to close the distance and clinch but Xll swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Laiho shoots in looking for a takedown. Xll tries to sprawl out of it but Laiho keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Xll manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Laiho tries to clinch up but Xll circles away and keeps his distance.
Xll misses with a head kick.
Laiho lands a jab.
Xll scores with a head kick. Laiho tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Xll misses with a body kick.
Laiho has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Midnight MMA in the buildup to the fight.

That kick from Xll tenderised Laiho's leg. Laiho is trying to keep his angry face on.
Xll will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Laiho wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Xll dodges the punch combination from Laiho.
Xll is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Laiho with a body shot.

Xll fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Laiho on the side of the head.
Laiho moves out of range as Xll throws a body kick.
Laiho tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Xll paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Laiho looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Laiho has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Xll finds it's way round the side to connect with Laiho's head.
Laiho blocks a head kick by Xll.
Horrible takedown attempt by Laiho or perhaps it was just good defense by Xll, which made it look bad.

Laiho walks straight into a right hand from Xll - that's dropped him! Xll jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Laiho from any more punishment! Laiho complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
