0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, I Wanna Fight! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snyder swings and misses with a shot to the body and Fight counters with a takedown into side control. Fight trying to control the action but Snyder is working from the bottom. Snyder is trying to buck Fight off. Fight stands up and beckons Snyder to his feet. Fight takes a shot right to the bread basket. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fight ducks under a wild hook from Snyder. Snyder stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Snyder misses with a body punch
and Snyder takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. The fight stays on the outside here - Fight looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fight tries to clinch up but Snyder circles away and keeps his distance. Snyder keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Snyder swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Fight goes for a double leg but Snyder avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Snyder continues to drive forward. Fight defending well as Snyder loads up on a big left hand. Snyder lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Fight takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Snyder throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Snyder lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Fight gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Snyder wants to break the clinch but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Fight is trying to pull guard but Snyder turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Arnold Snyder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of I Wanna Fight. Snyder is trying to break the clinch but Fight is controlling him. Snyder has had enough of the clinch but Fight keeps him there for the moment. Snyder working hard to break the clinch. Fight should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Fight trying to control the position from guard on top but Snyder is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fight is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Fight wants to control from the top but Snyder keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Fight advances position into side control! Fight thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Snyder is breathing heavily. Snyder is pushing Fight's head away, looking to escape. Fight manages to hold on to the position though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Arnold Snyder will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Fight shoots in but Snyder avoids the takedown attempt easily. Snyder keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Snyder misses with a hook. Fight ducked under it nicely. Fight bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Snyder tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Snyder wants to try and get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fight wants to control the pace but Snyder is squirming around nicely. Fight is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Fight extends the arm and Snyder is forced to tap!

King closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Willshire did well to prevent King getting side control. Willshire is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and King has latched onto it... Big trouble! King pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Willshire is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from King!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spiagnu stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Good shot there by Spiagnu. Reece gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Spiagnu keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Reece. Reece rushes Spiagnu and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Reece successfully pulls guard.
Spiagnu not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Spiagnu works over Reece with some ground and pound from guard. Spiagnu trying to control but Reece is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Spiagnu throws a big elbow that misses. Spiagnu trying to control the position from guard on top but Reece is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Reece knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Spiagnu on the ground.

Reece keeping moving, preventing Spiagnu from controlling successfully. Spiagnu throws a big right hand that misses. That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Spiagnu with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Spiagnu stands up over Reece, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Reece trying to control the position here. Spiagnu working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Reece controls Spiagnu momentarily but Spiagnu frees himself. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Spiagnu lands a couple of elbows. Reece striking off his back but it's not causing Spiagnu any problems. Spiagnu makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Reece is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Spiagnu is aware though and is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reece wants to stand up but Spiagnu is controlling him. Spiagnu working some strikes from top position. Spiagnu trying to control but Reece is working from the bottom. Reece wants to sweep but no luck. Reece is breathing heavily. Spiagnu slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Spiagnu wants to control from the top but Reece keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Reece tries for a takedown but Spiagnu sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Spiagnu jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Reece manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. King Reece seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reece shoots and misses and Spiagnu cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Spiagnu lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Reece is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Spiagnu's half guard. Spiagnu looking for submissions off his back. Spiagnu gets full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Spiagnu looking for a sweep. Not yet Spiagnu, not yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brian Spiagnu dominated that round. That's time! Reece's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Spiagnu's corner calls for a 1-2. Spiagnu obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Reece rushes Spiagnu and presses him up against the cage. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Reece as Spiagnu tries to tie him up. Spiagnu is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Reece is working for takedown but Spiagnu is calmly controlling the position for now. Reece has hold of one of Spiagnu's legs. Spiagnu is fighting the takedown attempt but Reece gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Spiagnu working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Reece doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Spiagnu is tightening it up a little... Reece has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Reece reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Reece taps out! Nice BJJ there by Spiagnu!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spartacus shoots in for a takedown but Menhaden shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Menhaden attempts a counter takedown but Spartacus avoids it well and moves away. Spartacus shoots and misses and Menhaden counters with a nice double leg into side control. Spartacus won't be happy with that. Menhaden moves into full mount! Spartacus is desperately trying to improve his position but Menhaden has a good base and remains in mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. BOOM! Menhaden connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Menhaden wants to control the pace but Spartacus is squirming around nicely. Spartacus is trying desperately to improve position. Menhaden lands a couple of good shots and Spartacus has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Menhaden has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Menhaden is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Spartacus. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. Spartacus is trying to break free.

Menhaden gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Spartacus keeping full guard, as Menhaden tries to pass. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Spartacus closes this distance looking for a takedown but Menhaden circles away. Menhaden darts in looking for a takedown but Spartacus gets double underhooks and turns Menhaden into the cage. Menhaden tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Spartacus is able to avoid easily. Spartacus drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Menhaden defends it well. Menhaden is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Spartacus can do to turn this around? Menhaden gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Spartacus to score an easy takedown into full guard. Spartacus has gone for a leg lock! Menhaden slips out almost immediately though and dives into Spartacus's guard.

Let's see if Spartacus can do anything to dispel that myth. Menhaden lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zhou shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Murasaki as he avoids it easily. Zhou goes for a double leg but Murasaki avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Murasaki continues to drive forward. Zhou shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Zhou showed some decent athleticism there. Zhou really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Murasaki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Murasaki has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Zhou. Oh but Murasaki has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Zhou goes limp - he's gone! Murasaki jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
