The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sunday closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sunday lands in his opponent's guard. Can is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Can throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Can is looking for a kimura but Sunday is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Can to get the leverage. Sunday is looking to improve his position.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kelvin Handleman! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksandr Martynov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Allen takes a swing at Handleman's ribcage but misses. A nice leg kick lands there from Allen. Handleman closes the distance and pushes Allen back into the cage. Allen presses Handleman against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Allen lands an uppercut. Allen gets through Handleman's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Handleman tightens his grip and picks Allen up, before dumping him to the ground. Allen manages to land in guard. Allen on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Allen tries to get out of the position. Allen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Handleman is pushing down on Allen's leg trying to pass to half guard. Allen is fighting to maintain full guard but Handleman has managed to sneak the leg through. Allen gets full guard. Allen controls Handleman momentarily but Handleman frees himself. Allen keeping moving, preventing Handleman from controlling successfully. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Handleman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Allen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Handleman on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Handleman is looking to work some ground and pound but Allen has wrist control. Allen has his hands on Handleman's head, controlling the position. Handleman trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Handleman throws a big elbow that misses. Handleman seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Handleman throwing strikes from guard but Allen blocks nicely.

It looks like Kelvin Handleman has been cut. Allen keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Handleman. Handleman tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Allen counters with a stiff right hand. Allen looks to score with a jab to the body but Handleman is just out of range. Allen looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Allen connects with a body shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Allen lands with an overhand left. Allen moves away from the strike by Handleman. Allen throws an overhand right that drops Handleman like a sack of potatoes! Allen dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

A very excited looking George Allen made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction. Kelvin Handleman was interviewed post fight and said 'I'm a fucking man and no one will ever question that because I am a man before I am a fighter and to have some pussy that sits behind a computer all day question my manhood pisses me off...'.

Rostov closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Smarks tries to roll over but Rostov keeps him under control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Smarks is trying to control but can't.
Smarks tries to get to full guard but Rostov has control of the leg. Smarks looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Rostov slips a nice elbow through Smarks's hands, connecting with Smarks's forehead. Smarks controlling the position for now. Rostov looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Smarks tries to roll over but Rostov keeps him under control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rostov is working for a kimura but Smarks is defending it quite comfortably.

Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Smarks lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Smarks trying to control but Rostov is working from the bottom.

Smarks works his way back into a safe position though. Smarks being controlled here momentarily. Smarks working some strikes from top position. Smarks content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Rostov has locked up a guillotine! Rostov's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Smarks is holding on here and Rostov must be using up a lot of energy. Smarks has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Rostov gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moru on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Ronaldo scores with a punch to the head. Ronaldo tries to keep at a distance but Moru has taken the fight into the clinch. Moru tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ronaldo's elbow. Ronaldo lands with a left to the head. Ronaldo presses Moru against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Ronaldo misses with a punch on the inside.

"I'm sorry" says Ronaldo. Moru manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Moru throws out a token jab with nothing on it. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tony ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Cook waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Tony. As Cook tries to get set, Tony tries to push him back and clinch up but Cook manages to avoid the attempt. Cook lands a body shot.
Tony takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Tony's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Cook connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Tony scrambles back to his feet. Tony displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cook throws out the jab. Tony is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Cook. Cook throws a solid leg kick but Tony takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Cook. Tony fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Cook on the side of the head. Cook has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Good work by Tony as he checks the leg kick. Tony misses with a hook. Cook ducked under it nicely. Cook bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Tony's head backwards. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! I was talking to Tony's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Cook fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Tony is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Tony tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Cook's elbow. Cook misses with a shot to the kidneys.
