1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Vanko! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Viktor Lagutenko and Igor Prikhodko.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vanko moves into range and clinches up with Moco. Vanko is trying to drag Moco to the mat but Moco just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there. Moco wants to break the clinch but can't.
Moco tries for a takedown. No joy.
Vanko goes for a takedown in the clinch but Moco prevents it.

 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Moco is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Vanko fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Moco shoots and misses
and Vanko counters with a nice double leg into side control. Moco won't be happy with that. Vanko trying to control the action but Moco is working from the bottom. Moco tries to bench press Vanko off him but Vanko keeps the position. You can see the frustration on Moco's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Moco is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Moco on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Moco tries to get out of the position. Moco is trying to control Vanko's posture but Vanko avoids it. Moco is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Vanko is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Moco shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Vanko but Vanko pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Moco closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Moco lands in his opponent's guard. Moco postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Moco postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Moco throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Vanko works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Moco working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Moco throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Vanko keeping moving, preventing Moco from controlling successfully. Moco tries to stand but Vanko is controlling from the bottom. Moco is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ivan Vanko will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Moco drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Vanko is not content to let Moco control the position. Moco throws an elbow but Vanko slips to the side and avoids it well. Vanko being controlled for a moment. Moco tries to advance to mount but Vanko denies him. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Vanko is breathing heavily.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Moco throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Vanko defending against the ground and pound. Moco wants to stand but Vanko has his arm trapped.
 Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Moco tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Moco is looking to clinch. Nice sprawl there from Vanko as Moco shoots in.
Vanko tries to keep at a distance but Moco has taken the fight into the clinch. Vanko drops down looking for an ankle pick but Moco pulls his leg out and moves away.
Moco scores a takedown into full mount! The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Moco looking to control but Vanko is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Moco with the ground and pound from mount. Moco really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Poor strikes thrown by Moco there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Moco is in the full mount, landing strikes. Moco lands a heavy elbow. A nice elbow there by Moco. Vanko holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Moco tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Moco fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Moco takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Moco thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Moco misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Vanko in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Moco breaks from Vanko's wrist control and lands an elbow. Moco will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Moco landing shots from mount. Vanko is in a horrible position here. Moco smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Moco throws some wild stikes that Vanko manages to avoid easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Vanko taking shots to the head. Abobo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Abobo takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
