The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maxwell drives through with a takedown into guard. Maxwell postures up and lands a big shot to Llaripukinen's brow. Maxwell stopping the sweep attempt from Llaripukinen. Maxwell working some strikes from top position. Llaripukinen looking to control.
Llaripukinen trying to control the position here. Maxwell thows a big elbow that misses. Maxwell throws a big right hand that misses. Llaripukinen has a closed guard, preventing Maxwell from standing up. Llaripukinen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Llaripukinen throws a hook to the side of Maxwell's head but Maxwell sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Maxwell misses with a takedown attempt - Llaripukinen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Llaripukinen throws a looping overhand right but Maxwell ducks down to avoid it. Excellent takedown into side control there by Maxwell. Llaripukinen parries the strikes from Maxwell easily there. Maxwell is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Llaripukinen to escape.
Maxwell decides to stand back up. Maxwell steps back and let's Llaripukinen get back to his feet. Maxwell slips a jab and a cross from Llaripukinen.
Maxwell fails with the takedown. A big right from Llaripukinen misses. Llaripukinen dodges the punch combination from Maxwell.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maxwell has closed the distance and engaged Llaripukinen in a clinch.
Maxwell jumps guard and drags Llaripukinen to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Maxwell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Llaripukinen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Llaripukinen trying to control the position from guard on top but Maxwell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Llaripukinen trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Maxwell manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Maxwell with a flurry of punches that miss. Llaripukinen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Maxwell keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Llaripukinen missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maxwell works his way to full guard. Good work. Llaripukinen forces his way into half guard. Llaripukinen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Maxwell keeps working. Llaripukinen is thwarting Maxwell's attempts to control the position. Llaripukinen wants to take a breather but Maxwell is having none of it. Llaripukinen looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Maxwell tries to roll over but Llaripukinen keeps him under control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Llaripukinen is keen to just control but Maxwell is a slippery customer. Llaripukinen is controlling the pace.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Llaripukinen connects with the punch.
It looks like Ross Maxwell has been cut. Llaripukinen lands a two punch combo.
Llaripukinen drops Maxwell with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Maxwell looks back up at him and smiles so Llaripukinen waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Guntur Llaripukinen dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ross Maxwell's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Maxwell displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Llaripukinen throws out the jab.
Maxwell is rocked! BOOM! Llaripukinen lands a beautiful left hook that drops Maxwell. Maxwell tries to recover but Llaripukinen is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Maxwell lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sams shoots in looking for a takedown. Jabez tries to sprawl out of it but Sams keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jabez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Sams throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jabez's waist but Jabez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sams off to one side. Jabez moves into range and clinches up with Sams. A nice left hand lands by Jabez.
Jabez scores with an uppercut up the middle. Jabez lands with a short shot to the head. Jabez working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Sams tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jabez just stands there and leans against the cage. David Jabez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Sams. Jabez lands a hook to the side of the head. Jabez lands a nice uppercut. A quick uppercut on the inside from Jabez. A short left from Jabez. Jabez lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Sams looks gassed! A shot in the inside from Jabez. Sams has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jabez is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. A nice right hand lands inside from Jabez. Jabez dips a shoulder and cracks Sams with a mighty uppercut! Sams falls back against the cage and Jabez unloads with a barrage of strikes! Sams is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Jabez screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Newman throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Brand. Brand gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Newman is trying to break the clinch but Brand has him pressed against the cage. Brand stalling.
Newman has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Newman wants to get back to striking at distance but Brand won't allow it.
Newman is trying to break free. Newman swings away with an uppercut that misses.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Brand takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Newman is trying to break the clinch but Brand has him pressed against the cage. Brand keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Newman's efforts to push away. Brand manages to break the clinch.
Newman lands with a hook. Brand tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Brand moves forwards but Newman connects with a nice, crisp jab. Newman lands a left and a right that send Brand crashing to the mat, dazed. Newman thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Brand is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Newman scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Brand doesn't seem bothered though. Oh Brand is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Newman closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Brand out cold! Brand corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.

Patel fails with the takedown. Arben lands a really nice looking cross but Patel seems unphased.
Patel decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Patel passes the guard and advances to mount! Patel trying to control but Arben is having none of it. Arben knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Patel on the ground. Arben is looking to get to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arben prevents Patel from taking his back. Patel throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Arben because Patel loaded up on that one. Arben tries to reverse the position but Patel maintains control. Patel trying to control but Arben is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Arben tries to hold on but Patel pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Patel sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Patel thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Patel unloads with some shots from mount but Arben bucks and avoids them well.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Patel sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Patel misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Patel can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Arben is looking to escape. Arben really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Patel thowing shots but they're missing. Patel controlling the pace for now. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Arben tries to lock up and control but Patel gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Asheesh Patel dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
A combination from Arben does no damage. Arben lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Asheesh Patel has been cut. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Arben connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Jab by Arben. Arben lands a jab to Patel's midsection. Arben rushes Patel and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Patel looking for a takedown. Patel can't get the takedown.
Patel jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Arben walks away with a smile on his face. Patel gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Rozafa Arben has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Asheesh Patel. Patel has a takedown stuffed. Patel doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Arben dips to his left and cracks Patel with an uppercut! Arben works Patel's body with a nice hook. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Arben lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Arben lands a two punch combo.
Patel is rocked! Arben cracks Patel with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Patel falls to his knees and Arben doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Jackson slips under a jab. Fitzpatrick swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Jackson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Fitzpatrick throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jackson sees it coming and avoids it easily. Jackson slips under a jab. Fitzpatrick throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Fitzpatrick pushes Jackson up against the cage in a clinch. A quick uppercut on the inside from Fitzpatrick. Jackson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Jackson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick scores with a hook to the body. Jackson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Fitzpatrick fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Mick Fitzpatrick is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Fitzpatrick connects with a looping right hand.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fitzpatrick as he avoids it easily. Mick Fitzpatrick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aeron Jackson. Jackson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Fitzpatrick takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Fitzpatrick circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Jackson to the canvas! Jackson doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Fitzpatrick keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Puma chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Montana Jr ducks under a wild hook from Puma. Montana Jr throws a head kick but Puma moves out of range.
Puma fails in his attempt to clinch. Montana Jr moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Montana Jr throws a head kick that misses. A decent looking cross lands there for Montana Jr. Montana Jr defending well as Puma loads up on a big left hand. Montana Jr uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Puma. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Puma, as that shot connected.
It looks like Antonio Montana Jr has been cut. Montana Jr digs a good body shot into Puma's ribs. Montana Jr dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Puma. That did some damage! Montana Jr has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Puma finds it's way round the side to connect with Montana Jr's head.
Montana Jr is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Montana Jr throws a series of punches but Puma avoids them all with ease. Oh Montana Jr is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Montana Jr blocks a jab. Montana Jr seems to have got his legs back now.
