The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cobb throws a body punch but Pickledoo moves out of range. Cobb throws a jab but it's blocked by Pickledoo. A big left from Cobb misses. Bobby Pickledoo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cobb misses with a wild body shot. Pickledoo throws a series of strikes that have Cobb backpedaling.
Pickledoo lands the left hand. Cobb misses with a straight right. The fighters circling - Pickledoo throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A big left from Cobb misses. Smith walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Miller moves into range and clinches up with Smith. With the fighters up against the ropes, Smith throws an elbow but misses. Smith fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Smith makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Smith tries to work over Miller's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Smith connects with a nice short shot to Miller's temple.

Smith is keen to just control but Miller is a slippery customer. Smith is really struggling to control Miller but he's trying to hold on to the position. Boxing has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Boxing instigates a clinch. Capatosta wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chief stuffs the takedown. Vip changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chief tries to avoid it but Vip manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chief to the ground. Chief escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Vip shoots in and bounces Chief off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard. Chief looking for a guillotine here but Vip defends easily.

Chief wants to sweep but no luck. Chief doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chief is looking for a triangle but Vip pushes his legs off easily.
Chief lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Vip has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Chief should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Vip has tightened it up now! Chief should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Mr Vip! A less than humble Mr Vip misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
