The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vella misses with a few strikes there.
Crunch! Gibbs slams his shin into Vella's torso. Aadyn Gibbs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vella looks to land a combination but Gibbs avoids it well. Vella circles away from the clinch attempt.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gibbs, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sokojuice waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jones. Jones throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Sokojuice's head. Grammy Married Sokojuice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sokojuice changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Sokojuice manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Sokojuice fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Jones is out of range. Jones goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Sokojuice takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Sokojuice shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jones throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Sokojuice's head. Jones moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Sokojuice uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet. Sokojuice displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jones throws out the jab. Jones looks to land a combination but Sokojuice avoids it well. Jones feints and then cracks Sokojuice's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sokojuice down. Sokojuice throws a leg kick and Jones counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Sokojuice is lucky that one didn't land flush. Jones lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Sokojuice at a distance.

Jones lands with a kick to the temple. Sokojuice shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Jones lands with a slapping head kick. Sokojuice takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Barns with that takedown attempt. The Noodler takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. The Noodler looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Barns being controlled here, momentarily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The Noodler has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Barns looking for a guillotine here but The Noodler defends easily.

The Noodler looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Barns moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
