The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A leg kick checked by Khan. Lupus has Khan up against the cage in a clinch.

That was a close round but I would say that Duke Lupus will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Achmed Khan's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Khan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Khan sitting in guard here, content to control.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Hoshigaki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Coleman feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hoshigakis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Hoshigaki walks into a left hand. Coleman tries to clinch but Hoshigaki moves away and Hoshigaki connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Hoshigaki scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Coleman ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Coleman takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Coleman pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Hoshigaki back to the cage. Coleman follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Hoshigaki steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Coleman. Hoshigaki avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Hoshigaki appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Hoshigaki tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Coleman was well out of range. Poor timing from Hoshigaki. Hoshigaki has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Hoshigaki is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Coleman's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Coleman's back! So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Miller gets slowly back to his feet. Stefan connects with a good right hand that stumbles Miller. Miller circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Miller takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Stefan swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Miller's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Poor timing from Wright. Lapu was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Lapu displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Wright throws out the jab. Lapu slips a jab from Wright. Wright avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Wright is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Wright throws a low kick, looking for Lapu's leg but Lapu calmly moves out of range. Lapu ducks under a wild hook from Wright. Lapu lands with a good body shot. Wright misses with a hook. Lapu ducked under it nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wright has his head snapped back a nice jab. We've been informed that Lapu has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Lapu defending well as Wright loads up on a big left hand. A thudding body kick lands there by Wright!

Wright crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lapu - the referee stops the clock and Wright gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lapu. Wright manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Lapu scores with a kick to the body.

Lapu Lapu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Is there anything that Gracie can do to turn this around? Gracie looks up at the clock and then as Vee takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Gracie smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vee tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Vee is trying to get back to his feet but Gracie has full control of the position and if anything, Vee has just worked his way into a worse spot. Gracie lands a shot to the body. Vee wants to get back to his feet. Gracie biding his time, controlling Vee. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Wayne Gracie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
