Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luis Rose! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Cicero Dos Santos! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Steve Smith.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Rose. Dos Santos circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rose dives in for a single leg takedown but Dos Santos sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Rose tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dos Santos swats him away and circles back towards the center. A combination from Rose does no damage. Dos Santos changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Rose jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Rose gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Dos Santos to score an easy takedown into full guard. Dos Santos stops Rose from standing up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dos Santos's corner is telling him to maintain position. Rose is looking to stand back up but Dos Santos counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Rose. Dos Santos takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Dos Santos stops Rose from getting back to his feet.

Longo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Gracie Slaughter catches Longo with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Gracie Slaughter lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Gracie Slaughter follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Renilio Gracie Slaughter! Renilio Gracie Slaughter spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Severn lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Severn. Payton misses with a straight right. A nice side step and Severn releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Severn throws a sloppy head kick and Payton moves out of range easily. Severn lands a head kick!
Payton darts in looking for a takedown but Severn gets double underhooks and turns Payton into the cage.
Payton shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Severn wants to get back to his feet but Payton is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Payton shoots in looking for a takedown but Severn manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Payton's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Severn with a nice cross. Severn moves away from the strike by Payton. Severn drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Payton defends it well. Severn tries to move into range but Payton moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Severn takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Severn swats away the attempt to clinch by Payton.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Severn engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Payton keeping moving, preventing Severn from controlling successfully. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Payton tries to close the distance and clinch but Severn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Severn looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Payton throws an overhand right that lands on Severn's shoulder, as Severn tries to avoid the shot.

Little throws the left hand but Arnold avoids the punch easily. Arnold is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Arnold defending well as Little loads up on a big left hand. Arnold went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Little tries to land a body kick and Arnold counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Arnold moves in looking to clinch but Little pushes him off. Little looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Little. Little throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Little misses with a double jab
and Arnold connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Little swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

Little pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Arnold appears to be looking for a big counter. Little throws a hook but Arnold avoids it easily. Arnold gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Little cracks Arnold with a right hand to the side of the head.

and Arnold counters with a flying knee that drops Little! Arnold dives in and finishes the fight with a flurry of strikes from the mount!

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hakuin Ekaku Jr (ranked 113 p4p, 15 weight class) and Sparky Anderson (ranked 935 p4p, 135 weight class). Ekaku Jr comes to the cage accompanied by Jiu Jitsu. Sparky Anderson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one!
