The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Jones as Martello shoots in. Martello fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Martello fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Lorian Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Martello. Martello will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jones leaves Martello with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Martello misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jones throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Jones misses with the combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Martello closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Martello is defended easily by Jones. Martello looks gassed! Martello closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away.

Martello tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Martello somewhat. Martello fails to land the takedown. Jones throws a right and a left that Martello avoids nicely. Martello fails with a takedown attempt. A jab from Jones finds it's way through Martello's defenses.
It looks like Max Martello has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Martello loses concentration momentarily and Jones pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Martello crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Jones finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Calzighe fails to land with a series of punches.
Miller shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Calzighe napping and manages to drive through into side control! Miller thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Calzighe pushes Miller away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Miller gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Miller wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Calzighe, who protects the arm well. Miller advances to full mount. Miller pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Miller has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Calzighe's face.
It looks like Joseph Calzighe has been cut. Calzighe is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Calzighe prevents Miller from taking his back. Calzighe might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Calzighe is trying to reverse the position but instead Miller has taken his back - oops! Miller is looking for the choke from the back position but Calzighe is controlling his hands well. Miller working for a choke but Calzighe is defending well. Miller looks gassed! Calzighe breaks Miller's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Calzighe slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Calzighe decides to stand up, so the ref orders Miller to his feet. Calzighe ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Calzighe throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Calzighe misses with a hook. Miller ducked under it nicely. Miller steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Calzighe. Calzighe rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Miller moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Miller shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Calzighe but Calzighe pushes him off and we're back to square one. Calzighe misses with a few strikes there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Calzighe. Calzighe throws a right hand that Miller ducks under and follows up with a left that Miller also avoids with ease. Calzighe misses with a hook. Miller ducked under it nicely. Miller avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Calzighe misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Calzighe throws a shot to the body.
Calzighe looks to throw the jab but Miller is out of range. Calzighe tries to clinch but Miller moves out of range. The fight moves into the clinch position. Calzighe breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Calzighe dips to his left and cracks Miller with an uppercut! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Calzighe throws out a token jab with nothing on it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miller swats away the attempt to clinch by Calzighe. Calzighe throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Miller on the side of the head. Calzighe lands with a thumping leg kick.

It looks like James Miller has been cut. A combination from Calzighe does no damage. Calzighe lands a big uppercut and Miller crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Miller looks OK. Calzighe waves Miller back to his feet!
Miller is rocked! Miller is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller tries to get into range but Calzighe steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Miller! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Calzighe scores the big KO victory!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Brand or perhaps it was just good defense by Munch which made him look bad. Nice shot lands for Munch.
It looks like Marcus Brand has been cut. Munch swings for the body but Brand moves out of range.
The fighters circle momentarily. Munch darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Munch thows a body shot but no joy. Munch jabbing away but nothing is landing. The fighters circling - Munch throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Munch throws a hook but Brand blocks it. Munch lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Munch feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Brand sprawling to the canvas! Brand rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Munch finish him?!

Brand is looking to clinch. Munch lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Munch throws a jab but it's blocked by Brand. Munch scores with a jab. Munch throws a body punch but Brand moves out of range. Brand looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Munch is fending him off so far but Brand persists. Nope, Munch circles away and we're back to standing. Brand looks gassed! Munch throws a shot from downtown. Brand moves away and avoids it. Munch fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Brand manages to avoid it. Brand walks into a left hand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Munch missing with a left hand there. Brand was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Munch throws an overhand right that lands on Brand's shoulder, as Brand tries to avoid the shot. Munch lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Brand at a distance.
Munch feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Brand sprawling to the canvas! Brand rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Munch finish him?!

Maier thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Rundgung utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Rundgung, as that shot connected.
Maier looks to land a combination. Rundgung sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Rundgung swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Maier counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Maier. Maier postures up in Rundgung's guard and throws a big left but Rundgung blocks it. Rundgung trying to keep a closed guard but Maier is proving a slippery customer.
Maier tries to free his leg and advance position but Rundgung is retaining full guard. Rundgung really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Maier. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rundgung looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Maier drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rundgung dives on top into guard. Maier working for a triangle but Rundgung defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maier preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Maier utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Rundgung postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Maier wants to sweep but no luck. Maier keeping moving, preventing Rundgung from controlling successfully. Rundgung loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Rundgung with a flurry of punches that miss. Maier isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Rundgung stacks Maier on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Rundgung! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Maier tries to buck Rundgung off but Rundgung is having none of it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Rundgung looks to land a right hand but Maier moved out of range. Rundgung misses with a combination
and Maier counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Rundgung! Maier raining down shots from the mount! Maier is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Rundgung is surviving well by controlling Maier's body position as best he can. Rundgung wants to control but Maier is having none of it. Maier thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Maier punching from mount but Rundgung doing a good job of avoiding damage. Maier jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Rundgung manages to avoid the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rundgung tries to get back to half guard but can't. Maier lands an elbow. Maier working the ground and pound from side control. Rundgung is looking for a sweep. Maier has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Rundgung! Rundgung slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Maier is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rundgung doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Maier. Maier is breathing heavily. Rundgung pushes Maier off looking to stand but Maier dives back in and keeps control.

Maier shoots in and bounces Rundgung off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Maier postures up in Rundgung's guard and throws a big left but Rundgung blocks it. Maier looking to pass the guard. Maier drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Maier jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Maier drops back, looking for a kneebar! Rundgung looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Rundgung looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Rundgung! Rundgung is looking to take a break and control but Maier is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Maier gets back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maier is looking for a sweep. Rundgung is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Maier is defending against the submission attempts here by Rundgung.
Maier looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Rundgung lands with a punch from half guard. Rundgung thows a huge punch but Maier dodges it nicely.
Maier is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rundgung pulls his head out easily. Maier regains full guard. Nicely done. Sepp Maier overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Maier has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rundgung can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rundgung throws a strike but Maier rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Maier cracks Rundgung with a solid left hand. Maier drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rundgung manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Maier has Rundgung in his guard. Rundgung throws and elbow that misses. Maier uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rundgung's guard. Nice move by Maier! Rundgung is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maier advances position into side control! Maier is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rundgung has escaped the position, nice work there. Rundgung stuck in half guard on the bottom here. Rundgung trying to control but Maier flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Maier is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Maier misses with punches from the back. Rundgung breaks Maier's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Rundgung gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Rundgung throws a head kick that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rundgung thows a body shot but no joy. Maier shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Rundgung tries to kick Maier off but Maier keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Rundgung works his way to full guard. Good work. Maier working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Rundgung looking to hit a scissor sweep but Maier is one step ahead there. Maier thows a big elbow that misses. Rundgung wants to stand up but Maier is controlling him. Maier is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Rundgung working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Maier. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rundgung rushes Maier and presses him up against the cage. Rundgung is looking to break free of the clinch but Maier has double underhooks. Maier has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rundgung avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Rundgung stops a takedown attempt from Maier.
Maier is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sepp Maier. That's going to take a lot out of him. Maier goes for a takedown attempt but Rundgung pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Rundgung is in trouble now - Maier has advanced to mount! Maier has isolated one of Rundgung's arms. Rundgung looking to fight him off but Maier twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Dimachaerus checks a leg kick. Dimachaerus displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Soze. Soze shoots in for a takedown but Dimachaerus shows good takedown defense. Marcus Dimachaerus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kiazer Soze. Soze closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dimachaerus circles away. Dimachaerus swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dimachaerus throws a hook to the side of Soze's head but Soze sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Early drops back, looking for a kneebar! Karev looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Karev looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Karev! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Karev decides to stand back up. Karev lands a nice hook to Early's body. Early takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Early on the wrong end of a nice jab. Karev stuffs the takedown. Early tries to clinch but Karev moves out of range. Karev thuds a left hand into Early's body. Early is breathing heavily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nice straight punches there by Karev. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Karev.
It looks like Jubal Early has been cut. Karev feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Early sprawling to the canvas! Early rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Karev finish him?!
Are you kidding me?! Karev ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Early clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
