Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Blazing Bob! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Gordon Miles! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Eddie Farnsworth and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miles darts in looking for a takedown but Bob gets double underhooks and turns Miles into the cage. Bob with a poor takedown and Miles counters with a nice low kick that buckles Bob's knee momentarily. Bob throws a leg kick that misses. Miles tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bob paws at him with a jab and circles away. Bob pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Bob gets tackled into the cage by Miles. Miles maintains the clinch. Miles tries for a takedown but Bob manages to get underhooks.
Miles drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bob gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Blazing Bob has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gordon Miles. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miles can't get the takedown.
Bob lands a body punch. Bob breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Miles moves out of range as Bob throws a body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miles with a lazy takedown attempt and Bob moves into the clinch. Miles takes a knee to the side of the body. Miles looks winded! Bob has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Miles is trying to keep an underhook but Bob manages to get the takedown into half guard. Bob is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Miles really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bob. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bob winds up and cracks Miles with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Bob keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Bob has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Bob looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Bob seems to be looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Well, if Bob is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Bob winds up and cracks Miles with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bob controlling the pace. Bob has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bob maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Miles could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Bob has cracked it and Miles is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Bob!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cyborg tries to clinch up. Nerve is looking to counter punch. Nerve cracks a nice hook into Cyborg's ribs. Cyborg moves away from the strike by Nerve. Cyborg steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Nerve. Nerve just misses with a punch to the body.
Pinched Nerve seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cyborg lands a nice shot to the body.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sane takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Sane fails with the takedown and Sane takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Douglas throws out a powerful jab. Sane scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Sane looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bufalino is rocked! The crowd cheers as The Omen lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bufalino doesn't seem phased though. Oh Bufalino is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Bufalino walks straight into a right hand from The Omen - that's dropped him! The Omen jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Bufalino from any more punishment! Bufalino complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Damien The Omen! A relieved looking Damien The Omen thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Max Power (ranked 1919 p4p, 262 weight class) and Shane MacGowan (ranked 1661 p4p, 226 weight class). MacGowan has chosen The Pogues - Streams of Whiskey as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Shane MacGowan told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Max Power! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shane MacGowan! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Joseph Jones and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MacGowan swings and misses with a shot to the body and Power counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Power staying out of range there. MacGowan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Power pinned against the cage. Power gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Power walks into a straight right hand from MacGowan. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Power throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and MacGowan counters with a lovely straight right hand! MacGowan swats away the attempt to clinch by Power.
That's one minute gone in the round. MacGowan is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Power. Max Power is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Power uses good head movement to avoid the hook from MacGowan. Power looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. MacGowan scores with a hook.
It looks like Max Power has been cut. MacGowan throws a predictable looking body shot
and Power counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Power fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A nice side step and MacGowan releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. MacGowan looks to throw the jab but Power is out of range. It looked like Power wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Power lands an overhand right. MacGowan lands a jab to the nose. Power tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A countering left hand to the body from MacGowan misses. MacGowan moves out of range as Power strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. MacGowan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Power as he avoids it easily. Power fails with an attempt to clinch.
Power is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Power blocks a jab. MacGowan pushing out the jab but it's not landing. It looked like Power was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from MacGowan. This has been an exciting period of action! MacGowan throws a hook but Power avoids it easily. Power wants to clinch up but MacGowan keeps it at a distance. MacGowan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Power.
Power throws a looping overhand right but MacGowan ducks down to avoid it. A nice side step and MacGowan releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. MacGowan swings for the body but Power moves out of range.
As MacGowan looks to move away, Power throws a big counter combo but MacGowan just gets out of the way.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Power displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as MacGowan throws out the jab. Power doesn't manage to clinch there - MacGowan circles away.
MacGowan works over Power's head and body with a nice combination. Power takes a shot right to the bread basket. MacGowan misses with an uppercut. Power saw that one coming. Power lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Power works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. MacGowan's jab looks to have found its range, popping Power under the eye. MacGowan tries to keep at a distance but Power has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Power throws a head punch that misses. The referee calls for MacGowan to work.
MacGowan jumps guard and drags Power to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! MacGowan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Power got a little sloppy there for a moment and MacGowan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Power has managed to get both his arms back between MacGowan's legs - danger averted. Power would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. MacGowan managing to control the position. MacGowan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Power doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but MacGowan is tightening it up a little... Power has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Power reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Power taps out! Nice BJJ there by MacGowan!
