The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bala misses with the combination.
Sheedy connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bala. Bala circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Bala throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Bala throws an overhand right that lands on Sheedy's shoulder, as Sheedy tries to avoid the shot. Bala rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sheedy moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Sheedy tries to clinch but fails miserably and Bala counters with a three punch combo that has Sheedy backing up. Sheedy nods at Bala to acknowledge the strikes. Bala looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Bala misses with a double jab.
Bala swats away the attempt to clinch by Sheedy. Sheedy's jab looks to have found its range, popping Bala under the eye. Bala swinging wildly here.
A shot to the liver by Bala. Beautiful body shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sloppy strikes from Bala. Those never looked like landing.

and Sheedy counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Sheedy looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Sheedy tries to clinch there but Bala circles away.
Bala throws a big shot that misses. Sheedy steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bala. Sheedy tries to clinch up but Bala circles away and keeps his distance. Sheedy uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Sheedy scores with a nice head shot. Sheedy takes a swing at Bala's ribcage but misses. Bala fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sheedy manages to avoid it. Sheedy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bala circles away quickly and effectively. Bala misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sheedy.
Sheedy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bala paws at him with a jab and circles away. Sheedy tries to clinch but Bala is having none of it. Sheedy tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

A little feinted left hand from Bala on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Sheedy has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Kevin Sheedy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bala throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A little jabbing left from Sheedy on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Sheedy connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bala's hands. Bala takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Bala misses the shot to the body. Bala keeps the fight on the outside. Sheedy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bala swats him away and circles back towards the center. Bala walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Bala throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sheedy sees it coming and avoids it easily. Bala scores with a jab. Sheedy acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Bala lands with a straight right. Sheedy didn't see that one coming. Sheedy is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Sheedy throws a nice looking combination but Bala bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Bala works the jab nicely. Sheedy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Sheedy lands an overhand right. Sheedy tries to clinch but Bala moves out of range. Sheedy fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bala takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. A punch combination from Sheedy misses. Sheedy throws a one two combo.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sheedy looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Bala throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
It seemed like Sheedy was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Bala throws a body punch but Sheedy moves out of range. Sheedy drops Bala with a beautiful combination! Bala stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Sheedy is looking for the KO!
Bala is rocked! Sheedy lands with a right and another and another! Bala is in big trouble! Sheedy lands again and this time it's lights out for Bala! A quality knockout there for Sheedy.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Loens looks to land a left hand but Jaeger moved out of range nicely. Jaeger blocks a head kick by Loens.
An attempted straight right counter from Jaeger misses the target. Jaeger darts in looking for a takedown but Loens gets double underhooks and turns Jaeger into the cage. Loens pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Loens throws a combination that misses so Jaeger counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Jaeger sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Loens's guard. Loens looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Jaeger with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Jaeger seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jaeger in particular looking to stall. Loens on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jaeger stops Loens from getting back to his feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nakamura gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rand to score an easy takedown into full guard. Nakamura scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Rand connects with the punch. Rand throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nakamura was covering up waiting for the punch and Rand finishes the takedown easily into guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rand throws a big elbow that misses. Rand controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Rand trying to control the position from guard on top but Nakamura is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rand connects with a nice short shot to Nakamura's temple.

Nakamura manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Rand keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Rand has Nakamura pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Rand pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Nakamura tumbling to the mat - Rand dives into Nakamura's guard. Nakamura has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Rand has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
