And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Smith.
Smith rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nelson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Smith throws a jab but it's blocked by Nelson.
Smith lands with an uppercut that bounces Nelson off the cage and back into rage.
Smith misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nelson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Smith as he jumps to the side.
Nelson shoots in but Smith avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Smith scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Gunnar Nelson has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Nelson.

Nelson takes a jab right on the kisser.

Smith feints and then cracks Nelson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Nelson down.
Smith pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nelson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Smith.
Nelson closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Smith is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nelson.
Smith throws a half hearted mid kick.
Smith throws out a powerful jab.

Smith throws a head kick that Nelson semi-blocks.
Smith drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Nelson right on the button. Nelson goes down! Smith follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Smith gets the win via TKO!
