The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karlsson feints and as Mangello raises his hands in defense, Karlsson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Karlsson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mangello has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Karlsson has managed to get both his arms back between Mangello's legs - danger averted. Karlsson trying to control the position from guard on top but Mangello is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mangello really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Karlsson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Karlsson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brice throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Brice fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Brice looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. davis shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brice's guard. davis trying to control but Brice is working from the bottom. Brice is trying to control the position but davis postures up. Brice knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for davis on the ground. davis throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Brice wants to stand and escape but davis is having none of it. davis in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coleman misses with a hook. Larson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Larson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Coleman tries to avoid it but Larson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Coleman to the ground. Coleman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Coleman drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Larson wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Larson is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Coleman lands a decent elbow from side control. Coleman scoring with punches and elbows. Coleman cracks Larson with a big elbow. Larson seems a little lost for a moment, as Coleman dominates the positioning. Larson parries the strikes from Coleman easily there. Coleman is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Larson to escape.
Coleman is trying to get an arm triangle but Larson is defending well. Coleman thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Staal is rocked! Staal walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Oh Staal is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Bradshaw swings for the body but Staal moves out of range.
Bradshaw cracks Staal with a right hand to the side of the head. BOOM! Bradshaw lands a beautiful left hook that drops Staal. Staal tries to recover but Bradshaw is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Staal lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Almeida. Romero does a little dance to reset his feet. Almeida is trying hard to land a takedown here. Romero sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Almeida shoots in for a takedown but Romero shows good takedown defense. Romero scores with a jab to the jaw. Almeida takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Romero connects with a nice looking jab.

A lazy left from Romero finds it's target. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Romero drops Almeida with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Almeida looks back up at him and smiles so Romero waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Almeida is rocked! Romero flashes Almeida a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Almeida's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Almeida crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Romero punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!

Nelson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Smith as he jumps to the side. Nelson shoots in but Smith avoids the takedown attempt easily. Smith scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Gunnar Nelson has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. No luck with that takedown attempt from Nelson. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gunnar Nelson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nelson takes a jab right on the kisser.
A slow jab from Smith misses its intended target. A swing and a miss from Smith. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Smith, right into the meat.
Smith lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nelson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Smith paws at him with a jab and circles away. Mike Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smith feints and then cracks Nelson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Nelson down. Smith pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nelson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Smith. Nelson closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. This has been an exciting period of action! Smith is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nelson. Smith throws a half hearted mid kick. Smith throws out a powerful jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith throws a head kick that Nelson semi-blocks.
Smith drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Nelson right on the button. Nelson goes down! Smith follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Smith gets the win via TKO!
