Coming up we have a super heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Matti Tolonen (ranked 5445 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksandr Emelianenko (ranked 21417 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 1 losses; Matti Tolonen! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 1 losses; Aleksandr Emelianenko! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Emelianenko tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Tolonen defends well and Emelianenko ends up having to push Tolonen into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Emelianenko shoots in looking for a takedown but Tolonen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Emelianenko's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Emelianenko looks for a takedown but Tolonen sprawls well. Matti Tolonen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aleksandr Emelianenko. Tolonen has Emelianenko up against the cage in a clinch.
Emelianenko jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tolonen walks away with a smile on his face. Emelianenko gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Emelianenko dives in and grabs Tolonen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tolonen pushes down on Emelianenko's head and hops out. Horrible takedown attempt by Emelianenko or perhaps it was just good defense by Tolonen, which made it look bad. Tolonen closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Emelianenko wants a takedown.
Tolonen is pressed up against the cage. Emelianenko has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Tolonen down to the mat. Tolonen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Emelianenko fails to land the takedown. As Emelianenko tries to get set, Tolonen tries to push him back and clinch up but Emelianenko manages to avoid the attempt. Tolonen drives through and clinches with Emelianenko against the cage.

Tolonen no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Fjera comes into the arena with Tito & Tarantula blaring out of the sound system. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Scar pushes Fjera up against the cage in a clinch. Scar is defending well against a takedown attempt. Fjera has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Scar after a bit of a struggle. Scar jumps guard and drags Fjera to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Scar trying to control the position.
Scar has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Fjera doesn't defend quickly enough and Scar has managed to lock this one up! Can Fjera escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Scar on a fantastic submission victory.
