The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baier gets in close and instigates a clinch. Baier is trying to pull guard but Leenoster turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Baier manages to pull guard.

Leenoster trying to control the position from guard on top but Baier is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Leenoster throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Baier works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Leenoster with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Baier has his foot on Leenoster's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Leenoster works his way back into a safe position though. Leenoster postures up.
Leenoster content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leenoster trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Leenoster with a flurry of punches that miss. Baier controls Leenoster momentarily but Leenoster frees himself. Leenoster avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Baier looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leenoster is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Leenoster's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Baier escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Leenoster gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Leenoster scoring with some ground and pound. Leenoster is in close to Baier's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Baier is rocked! Leenoster gets to his feet and stands over Baier, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Baier felt that one! Leenoster unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Baier from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paulo Leenoster!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Farias fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bittaker looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Bittaker misses with a leg kick and Farias connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Farias throws a one two combo.
Farias fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bittaker on the side of the head. Bittaker is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Farias. Bittaker closes this distance looking for a takedown but Farias circles away. Bittaker attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Farias tries to counter with a clinch but Bittaker shakes him off and moves away. Bittaker moves forwards but Farias connects with a nice, crisp jab. Bittaker moves forwards but Farias connects with a nice, crisp jab. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Farias swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bittaker feints and then cracks Farias's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Farias down. Farias looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Farias has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Bittaker. Farias lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bittaker circles away quickly and effectively. Farias misses with a double jab.

As Farias tries to get set, Bittaker tries to push him back and clinch up but Farias manages to avoid the attempt. Farias circles away from the clinch attempt.
Farias cracks Bittaker with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Benjamin Bittaker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Farias keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Bittaker shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Farias pinned against the cage. Farias gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Benjamin Bittaker. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bittaker fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Farias has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Bittaker takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Farias throws a nice looking combination but Bittaker bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Bittaker cracks the inside of Farias's front leg. Bittaker fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Farias avoids it really well and circles away. It seemed like Farias was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Bittaker has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Farias misses with a wild combination.
Bittaker tries to clinch up. Farias will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bittaker looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Farias shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bittaker shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Farias as he avoids it easily. Farias lands a really nice looking cross but Bittaker seems unphased.
Farias looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Bittaker lands with a slapping head kick. Farias scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Farias cracks a nice hook into Bittaker's ribs. Bittaker feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Farias's calf. Bittaker misses with a takedown and Farias counters with a stiff right hand. Bittaker avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bittaker is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Farias. Farias clobbers Bittaker with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Bittaker buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bittaker dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Farias. That did some damage! Bittaker motions for Farias to come forward. Bittaker throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Decent striking displayed by Farias there. Bittaker looks for a takedown but Farias sprawls well. Farias shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bittaker eats them both and turns towards Farias to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. We've been informed that Farias has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Bittaker avoids a punch combination nicely.

Farias throws a series of punches but Bittaker avoids them all with ease. Sloppy strikes from Farias. Those never looked like landing. Farias stuffs the takedown attempt from Bittaker. Bittaker gets slowly back to his feet. Farias moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Bittaker looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. A solid leg kick lands there for Bittaker.

Bittaker lands a nice leg kick that just misses Farias's sensitive parts. Bittaker connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Bittaker throws a body shot but no joy. Farias wants to counter with a clinch but Bittaker pushes him away. Bittaker with a poor takedown and Farias cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Bittaker takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Bittaker throws a low kick but Farias moves out of range easily. Farias slips a straight right by Bittaker. Bittaker throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Farias. Bittaker throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Bittaker darts in looking for a takedown but Farias gets double underhooks and turns Bittaker into the cage. Farias works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. This has been an exciting period of action! Bittaker moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. A solid body kick from Bittaker. Bittaker slips a jab and a cross from Farias.

He's got his arms around Farias's waist but Farias gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bittaker off to one side. Farias throws a right and a left that both miss. Farias falls off balance throwing a combination
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Farias throws a nice looking combination but Bittaker bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Bittaker lands a leg kick that knocks Farias off balance momentarily. Nice sprawl there from Farias as Bittaker shoots in. Bittaker shoots in for a double leg but Farias sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Farias lands a jab to the head.

The fight stays on the outside here - Bittaker looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Benjamin Bittaker has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Farias throws out a counter right but Bittaker avoids it with no problem. Renato Farias is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Bittaker throws a nice outside leg kick.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kenway feints and as Jennings raises his hands in defense, Kenway changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Jennings is trying to control the position but Kenway postures up. Kenway controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Kenway pushing down on Jennings's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Jennings is looking to control Kenway's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jennings avoid being mounted? Kenway content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kenway seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Jennings is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Hales tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Anderson defends well and Hales ends up having to push Anderson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Anderson wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Carlos Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Hales. Hales changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Anderson tries to avoid it but Hales manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Anderson to the ground. Anderson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Anderson is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Hales. Anderson throws a front kick that sends Hales stumbling back into the cage. Anderson cracks Hales with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Hales avoids the head kick by Anderson.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hales shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Anderson sprawls well. Anderson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hales gets slowly back to his feet. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hales is defended easily by Anderson.
