The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jukes stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jukes wants it to stay on the feet. Hazlehurst fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jukes sprawls well initially but Hazlehurst persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Hazlehurst looking to pass the half guard. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The crowd cheers as Robinson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lips doesn't seem phased though. Robinson lunges at Lips with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lips's hand. Lips takes a jab right on the kisser.
Lips closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Lips thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Robinson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. French tries to keep at a distance but Kane has taken the fight into the clinch. French tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kane smiles and moves away.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rakieta can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Parada utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
