The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vitone connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
It looks like WRESTLING KILLER has been cut. KILLER with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Vitone to score with a decent uppercut. Vitone walks forward and throws a big overhand right! KILLER drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Vitone swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from KILLER's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woods rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Parker moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Woods is defended easily by Parker. Woods misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Parker misses with a double jab
and Woods counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Woods. Parker looking to control but Woods passes into half guard.
Parker moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Parker is looking for a triangle but Woods pushes his legs off easily.
Woods must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Parker avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Woods sitting in guard, not really doing much. Parker looking to control.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz checks a low kick from Foot. Foot lands a head kick. Diaz smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Horrible takedown by Foot or perhaps it was just good defense by Diaz which made him look bad. Foot gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Foot dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Foot misses with an elbow strike.
Foot pushes off an throws an elbow but Diaz leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Diaz misses with a knee to the head. Foot's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Foot misses with a body shot.
Foot tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Foot forces Diaz back against the cage and clinches. Foot has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Diaz avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Still in the clinch, Foot scores with a nice short uppercut. Foot prevents a takedown attempt there.

Nick Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Diaz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Foot counters by moving into the clinch. Diaz misses with a knee to the head. Foot scores with an uppercut up the middle. Diaz letting Foot take a breather here. Foot breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Foot pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Foot shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Diaz's guard. Diaz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Foot can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Foot passes Diaz's left leg - he's now in half guard. Foot is taking a breather. Diaz says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Diaz trying to control here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Foot decides to stand and escape the position. Diaz gets caught flat footed, as Foot shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Foot sitting in guard here, content to control. Foot decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Foot shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Diaz's guard. Foot lands a couple of decent looking shots. Foot connects with a couple of short punches. Foot passes Diaz's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Foot is working for a kimura but Diaz is defending it quite comfortably.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Foot lands a nice short elbow. Diaz is not content to let Foot control the position. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Foot lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Foot scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Foot tries to pass the half guard into mount. Diaz knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Diaz looking for submissions off his back. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Diaz is defending against the submission attempts here by Foot.

George Foot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Diaz. Diaz is breathing heavily. Foot drops down looking for an ankle pick but Diaz pulls his leg out and moves away.
George Foot is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Foot rushes Diaz and presses him up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Foot is trying to trip Diaz. He has hold of a leg but Diaz is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Foot persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Foot loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Foot stands up and waves to Diaz to follow him. Foot closes the distance and pushes Diaz back into the cage. Diaz tries to land knees in the clinch but Foot avoids the damage to the body. Foot is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Foot avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Diaz throws a strike but Foot rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Foot stands up from guard. Let's bang! Foot has taken the fight to the clinch.

That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Diaz's guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Foot is taking a breather. Diaz says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Foot wants to get back to his feet.
Foot is looking for a kimura but Diaz is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Foot to get the leverage. Foot wants to control but Diaz is keeping him busy. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Foot here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Foot instigates a clinch. Foot escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Foot lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Diaz hang on? Nick Diaz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! George Foot is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

George Foot overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Foot looking for a guillotine from mount but Diaz is having none of it. Foot tries to control but Diaz wriggling away.

Foot closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Diaz did well to prevent Foot getting side control. Foot is pressing down on Diaz's thigh, looking to free his foot. Diaz is holding on for now. Diaz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Foot content to control rather than advance. Diaz gets full guard. Diaz has his foot on Foot's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Foot works his way back into a safe position though. Foot content to stall in guard here.
