The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beefcake shoots in for a takedown but Collins shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Beefcake shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Beefcake was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Beefcake goes for an armbar but Collins turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Collins. Collins working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Collins got a little sloppy there for a moment and Beefcake has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Collins has managed to get both his arms back between Beefcake's legs - danger averted. Collins trying to control but Beefcake is working from the bottom. Beefcake throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Collins chips away with some ground and pound. Collins is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Beefcake is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Beefcake has escaped and now he's on top! Collins controls Beefcake momentarily but Beefcake frees himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beefcake is in close to Collins's body, working some short punches and elbows. Collins is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Beefcake is aware though and is defending well. Collins pulls Beefcake in to control the position. Collins keeping busy, throwing shots from the bottom. Collins managing to control the position. Beefcake drops back looking for a leg! Collins is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Collins manages to kick Beefcake off! Beefcake jumps back into Collins's guard. Collins is pulling down on Beefcake's head to control his posture.

Beefcake thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Collins is adopting a defensive guard. Collins looking for a guillotine here but Beefcake defends easily.
Collins looks gassed! Beefcake preventing the sweep. Collins keeping moving, preventing Beefcake from controlling successfully. Beefcake is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Collins wants to stand and escape but Beefcake is having none of it.

Collins closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Collins lands in his opponent's guard. Collins trying to control the position from guard on top but Beefcake is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Beefcake wants to sweep here but Collins controlling him for the moment. Beefcake is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Collins frees his head nicely. Oh but Beefcake has switched to an armbar! Collins is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Luiz fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Davis connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Davis lands a body shot.
Luiz shoots in but Davis avoids the takedown attempt easily. Davis lands with an uppercut that bounces Luiz off the cage and back into rage. Luiz wants to clinch up but Davis keeps it at a distance. Davis misses with a body shot.
Nice defenses there by Luiz. Luiz takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Luiz shoots for a double leg takedown but Davis sprawls well. He's pushed Luiz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arnold Luiz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Davis scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Luiz doesn't seem bothered though. Luiz is breathing heavily. Nice takedown defense from Davis. No joy for Luiz on that attempt. Luiz takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dos Torvos looks to land a right hand but Wilson moved out of range. Dos Torvos thows a body shot but no joy. Wilson takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. The fight stays on the outside here - Wilson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Wilson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dos Torvos. A punch combination from Dos Torvos misses. Junior Dos Torvos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wilson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dos Torvos paws at him with a jab and circles away. Wilson fails with the takedown and Dos Torvos counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wilson won't be happy with that. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Clement tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cross was well out of range. Poor timing from Clement. A jab lands there for Clement.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Clement lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Cross stands and throws Clement's legs to the side, diving into side control. Clement is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Cross off and has taken his back! Cross is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
