The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Head.

It looks like Major Payne has been cut.
Head throws a looping overhand right but Payne ducks down to avoid it.
Payne staying out of range there.
Head misses with a right hand
and Payne counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Head connects with a good right hand that stumbles Payne. Payne circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Head throws a lazy uppercut
and Payne counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Payne lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Payne with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Head to score with a decent uppercut.

Payne is rocked!
Head cracks Payne with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Payne tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Head pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Payne is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
