The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burger uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bastard.
Burger shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Burger seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Bastard misses with a double jab

and Burger counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bastard won't be happy with that.

Burger tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Burger in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Burger remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Bastard wants to control but Burger postures up.

Bastard defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Burger.

Burger has hold of Bastard's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bastard manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Burger has control of Bastard's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bastard regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Bastard tries to lock up and control but Burger gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Bastard seems to have recovered his senses.

Bastard takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Burger's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Leonard shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Date jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Date paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Leonard fails with the takedown
and Date counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Leonard thinking.

Leonard closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Date to the mat! Date manages to get full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Date keeping moving, preventing Leonard from controlling successfully.
Leonard wants to pass the guard but Date is keeping the position.

Date on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Date tries to get out of the position.
Leonard is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there.

Leonard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Date swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

It looked like Date was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Leonard.

Leonard goes for a double leg but Date avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Date continues to drive forward.
Date seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Leonard dives in for a single leg takedown but Date sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Date misses with a hook. Leonard ducked under it nicely.

Date stuns Leonard with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Leonard has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

and Date counters with a crisp right that sends Leonard to the canvas! Date follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
