The bell rings for round one and we are underway! St Pierre takes one to the chin there. Khasbulaev blocks a jab. A nice combination there by St Pierre.
St Pierre drives through with a takedown into Khasbulaev's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Khasbulaev manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Khasbulaev throws a head punch that misses. Khasbulaev misses with the head strike.

Khasbulaev throws a body punch but St Pierre moves out of range. Khasbulaev moves out of range as St Pierre strikes. St Pierre has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Khasbulaev fakes a jab and throws a low kick but St Pierre checks it well. St Pierre drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Khasbulaev defends it well. St Pierre is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Khasbulaev swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
And St Pierre tries to counter it with a takedown but Khasbulaev pushes his down on his head and steps out. St Pierre is still on wobbly legs! Can Khasbulaev finish him? and Khasbulaev counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts St Pierre! He's just covering up as Khasbulaev starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maellard stuffs the takedown. Maellard misses with an uppercut. Kralj tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. A nice inside leg kick there by Maellard. That's going to slow Kralj down. Kralj closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Kralj trying to control the position but Maellard is working away. Maellard is looking for a sweep. Kralj working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Kralj lands a nice forearm strike. Kralj wants to control but Maellard is keeping him busy. Kralj taking a breather here. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Maellard is keen to just control but Kralj is a slippery customer.

Kralj tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Maellard defends well and Kralj ends up having to push Maellard into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Maellard fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kralj looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. A clash of legs there as Maellard blocks the low kick. Maellard throws a lazy right hand but Kralj sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Maellard is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kralj can do to turn this around? Kralj lands with a cross. Kralj shoots in and drives through. Maellard sprawls well. Maellard connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. A nice inside leg kick there by Maellard. That's going to slow Kralj down. A solid leg kick lands there for Maellard.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Maellard takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Maellard misses with a straight right. Maellard lands with a nice body punch. Maellard avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Kralj pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Maellard fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Kralj is out of range. Maellard lands with a shot to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Maellard feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kraljs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Kralj lands a nice hook to Maellard's body. Maellard takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Kralj chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Maellard can pounce on him.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Maellard. Kralj on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Maellard. Maellard obviously looking to wear him down.

Maellard throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Maellard looks to score with a jab to the body but Kralj is just out of range. Kralj drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Maellard defends it well. Kralj throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Kralj on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Maellard moves into range and connects with a jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kralj throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Kralj stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Kralj checks the leg kick. Maellard swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Maellard gets caught napping as Kralj dives in and scores a takedown. Maellard manages to retain guard. Kralj trying to control but Maellard is working from the bottom. Maellard keeping full guard, as Kralj tries to pass. Maellard wants to sweep but no luck. Maellard is trying to control the position but Kralj postures up. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kralj accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kralj trying to control the position from guard on top but Maellard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Maellard bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kralj's guard. Kralj tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Kralj is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Maellard wants to hold on but Kralj pushes him away. Maellard keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Pops Maellard will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Maellard throws a jab when Kralj was well out of range. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Maellard slips under a jab from Kralj. Kralj throws the left hand but Maellard avoids the punch easily. Kralj walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Maellard checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. It looked like Maellard was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kralj throws a body shot but no joy. Maellard fails to land with a series of punches.

Kralj throws out a loose jab but Maellard uses good head movement to avoid it. Nice straight punches there by Maellard. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Maellard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Good work by Kralj as he checks the leg kick.

Maellard throws a chopping leg kick but Kralj manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Kralj misses with a hook. Maellard ducked under it nicely. A head kick by Maellard misses and Kralj counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Kralj is looking to take a break and control but Maellard is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kralj perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Maellard is refusing to be controlled, as Kralj sits in half guard. Maellard wants to improve his position but Kralj is controlling well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Maellard looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kralj is one step ahead there. Maellard can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kralj controls the pace. Kralj trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kralj is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Maellard utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Maellard looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Kralj lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Kralj throws a big elbow that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kralj trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Maellard manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Kralj pulls Maellard in close to prevent any damage. Maellard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kralj swivels though and keeps the full guard. Maellard is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Kralj wants to sweep but no luck. Tomislav Kralj has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Maellard wants to control from the top but Kralj keeps moving. Maellard has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Maellard controlling from the top position. The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Maellard connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kralj. Kralj circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Pops Maellard. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Maellard, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Po tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Rutten ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Po moves away. Rutten has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Valhalla Training Camp in the buildup to the fight. Po gets a clinch. Rutten lands with a short punch from the clinch.
It looks like Tong Po has been cut. Rutten lands with a right to the head. A head punch blocked on the inside by Po . Po is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Rutten is defending well for now. Rutten throws a head punch that misses. Po lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Po stalling in the clinch but Rutten improves position. Po lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Rutten backwards. Rutten tries to throw a body punch but Po avoids it by throwing Rutten back against the cage. Rutten lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Rutten lands a nice uppercut. Rutten misses with the head strike.

Po is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Po throws an elbow that misses.
Po is still on wobbly legs! Can Rutten finish him? A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Rutten tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Po misses with an elbow over the top. Rutten dips a shoulder and cracks Po with a mighty uppercut! Po falls back against the cage and Rutten unloads with a barrage of strikes! Po is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Rutten screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Dunkin looks to land a body kick but Reznick moved away. Reznick uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dunkin. Dunkin takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Reznick uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dunkin.
Reznick tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dunkin was well out of range. Poor timing from Reznick. Dunkin throws the left hand but Reznick avoids the punch easily. Dunkin lands a head shot. Dunkin moves out of range as Reznick strikes. Dunkin takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Dunkin throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Reznick sees it coming and avoids it easily. A nice inside leg kick there by Reznick. That's going to slow Dunkin down. Reznick lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Reznick throws a front kick aimed at Dunkin's knee but Dunkin avoids it well. Nice defenses there by Reznick. Reznick misses with a double jab.

Dunkin throws a hook but Reznick blocks it. Reznick takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Reznick lands a nice leg kick that just misses Dunkin's sensitive parts. Nice jab there from Reznick. Dunkin throws a hook to the side of Reznick's head but Reznick sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Dunkin misses with an uppercut. Dunkin might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Both fighters circling a little - Dunkin finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Dunkin throws a head kick that misses. Reznick scores with a push kick. Reznick has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Reznick there as he acknowledges the shot. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dunkin lands a really nice looking cross but Reznick seems unphased.

We've been informed that Haack has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Haack thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Johnson if he has to take too many more of those.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kermit cracks a nice hook into Hallick's ribs. Hallick paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Kermit misses with a hook. Hallick ducked under it nicely. Kermit connects with a looping right hand.
It looks like Al Hallick has been cut. Kermit takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Kermit avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Hallick throws out a leg kick but Kermit moves out of range and Hallick only half commits. Kermit on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Kermit doesn't seem phased though. A looping hook to the body misses from Kermit. Hallick does a little dance to reset his feet.

Hallick has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kermit's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hallick connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kermit scrambles back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A big right from Kermit misses. Kermit throws a body punch but Hallick moves out of range. Kermit looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. A slapping leg kick lands for Kermit.

and Hallick counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kermit's knee momentarily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hallick throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Kermit tumbling to the canvas! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Kermit is wriggling around but Hallick manages to pass to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Al Hallick comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hallick has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. 23 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ras Li Judah! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Judah throws a body punch but Pedro moves out of range. Pedro throws a leg kick and Judah counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Pedro misses with a body kick. Judah throws out a counter right but Pedro avoids it with no problem. Pedro misses with a lunging right hand
and Judah counters with a lovely straight right hand! Pedro misses with a body shot.
Pedro tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Judah avoids the head kick by Pedro.
Pedro takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Pedro looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Pedro slips under a jab from Judah. Pedro rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Pedro takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Judah cracks the inside of Pedro's front leg. Pedro closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Pedro scoring with strikes to the body and head. Pedro wants to free his trapped foot but Judah is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pedro throws a strike but Judah manages to get a kimura sweep and he's found himself on top with the kimura half locked in! This would be a real turnaround! He's torquing it... Will Pedro tap??? YES! He's tapped! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ras Li Judah! Ras Li Judah is the new light heavyweight champion! Ras Li Judah bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
