2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tamehr Al Arhoff! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Powers stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Powers wants it to stay on the feet. Al Arhoff shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Al Arhoff was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Al Arhoff punching from mount but Powers doing a good job of avoiding damage. Powers is in a horrible position here. Al Arhoff smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Powers wants to hold on but Al Arhoff pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Powers manages to control the position for a moment. Al Arhoff looking to control but Powers is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Powers is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Al Arhoff scoring with strikes but Powers is staying in there. Al Arhoff unloads with some shots from mount but Powers bucks and avoids them well.
Powers is squirming around, avoiding Al Arhoff's attempts to control the action. Al Arhoff with shots to the head and body - Powers looks very uncomfortable down there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Al Arhoff has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Powers's face.
Powers is breathing heavily. BOOM! Al Arhoff connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Powers is rocked! Powers tries to hold on but Al Arhoff postures up. Al Arhoff tries to control but Powers wriggling away. Al Arhoff is in the full mount, landing strikes. Al Arhoff dominating with strikes here. Al Arhoff looking to finish Powers with some ground and pound. This is bad for Powers! Oh Powers is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Powers can't escape the position.
Powers seems to have got his legs back now. Powers wants to control but Al Arhoff is having none of it. Powers is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Al Arhoff is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Al Arhoff working Powers over with strikes here. The referee warns Powers that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Alexander scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Alexander moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Emelianenko looks gassed! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Emelianenko waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Alexander. Emelianenko tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Alexander lands a big uppercut and Emelianenko crumbles to the floor! Alexander throws a looping overhand right but Emelianenko ducks down to avoid it. Horrible takedown by Emelianenko or perhaps it was just good defense by Alexander which made him look bad. and Alexander counters with a lovely shot to the body. Nice jab there from Alexander. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Emelianenko tries to bum rush Alexander with a series of wild strikes but Alexander uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Alexander buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Alexander lands a jab to Emelianenko's midsection. Emelianenko moves forwards but Alexander connects with a nice, crisp jab. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alexander's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. A frustrated look appears on Emelianenko's face as he tries to break the clinch. The referee is keeping an eye on Alexander - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Michael Alexander. Alexander throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Alexander lands a nice hook to Emelianenko's body. Emelianenko takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Some bone on bone action there as Emelianenko checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Emelianenko has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Emelianenko there as he acknowledges the shot. Alexander uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Emelianenko. Alexander thows a left - swing and a miss! Alexander defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Emelianenko. Emelianenko misses with a head kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. A slapping leg kick lands for Alexander.

Alexander lands a lovely overhand right. Emelianenko shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Emelianenko takes a body punch but keeps moving. Alexander bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Emelianenko's head backwards. Alexander lands with a cross. Alexander misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Emelianenko.
Emelianenko clinches but Alexander breaks the clinch and Alexander counters with a nice uppercut. Lyoto Emelianenko has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Emelianenko shoots in and drives through. Alexander sprawls well.
And that's the end of the fight! Michael Alexander showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Alexander, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Jericho is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jericho decides to return to a standing position. Jericho swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Singh counters with an outside leg kick.
Singh scores with a one two! Jericho had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Singh lands a high kick to the side of Jericho's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Singh dives into guard, looking to finish.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rice is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Rice bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Couture goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Steve Rice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Couture throws a right and a left that Rice avoids nicely. Rice stuns Couture with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. This has been an exciting period of action! Couture looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Rice throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Rice lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Couture circles away quickly and effectively. Rice takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Couture will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hurt tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jaa swivels and escapes. Jaa tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Hurt looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Jaa! Hurt is standing up, even though he is in mount. Hurt misses with a straight left. Jaa looking to land some kicks to the body here.

The fight stays on the outside here - Hurt looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jaa lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Jaais looking to pass into half guard but Hurt pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Hurt is in guard. Jaa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hurt. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hurt stands and throws Jaa's legs to the side, diving into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hurt wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jaa keeps working. Hurt decides to stand back up. Hurt steps back and let's Jaa get back to his feet. Hurt fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jaa scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Hurt chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jaa can pounce on him.
Hurt is breathing heavily. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hurt. Jaa fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hurt on the side of the head. Hurt takes a body punch but keeps moving. Jaa feints and then cracks Hurt's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hurt down. Jaa comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Hurt takes a kick to the side of the head. Jaa lands a nice looking kick to the body. Hurt takes a step back to recover. This has been an exciting period of action! Hurt drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Jaa scores with a push kick. Jaa stalks Hurt and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hurt's face. Hurt staggers backwards, shaken. Hurt takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Nice body kick from Jaa.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Hurt tries to keep at a distance but Jaa has taken the fight into the clinch. The referee calls for Hurt to work.

Not much technique there but it did the business. Jaa scores with a crisp jab that stopped Hurt in his tracks. Jaa lands with a good body shot. A jab from Jaa does it's job there. Tony Jaa seems to be getting the better of the standup. Jaa throws a combination. Hurt tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Fisher goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Hastings tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Fisher lands a slapping body shot.
