The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jr Ii fails to land the takedown.
Horrible takedown attempt by Jr Ii or perhaps it was just good defense by Ashley, which made it look bad.

Ashley fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jr Ii, pushing him back against the cage.

Ashley works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Ashley with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Ashley works over Jr Ii with some ground and pound from guard.
Ashley distracts Jr Ii with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Jr Ii really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ashley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ashley slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Soul connects with a solid leg kick.

Darapper has closed the distance and engaged Soul in a clinch.
Darapper prevents Soul from breaking the clinch.

Soul breaks from the clinch.
Darapper lands a jab to the nose.
Soul throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Soul fails with a takedown attempt.
Darapper shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Soul counters with a series of strikes. Darapper will be more careful next time no doubt.
Darapper changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Soul tries to avoid it but Darapper manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Soul to the ground. Soul escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
