and Angar counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Laar off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Angar follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Laar was out before he hit the floor.

Artimus Angar spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

Sloppy strikes from De Villefort. Those never looked like landing.
Ferreira looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that De Villefort has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

De Villefort jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ferreira walks away with a smile on his face. De Villefort gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

De Villefort takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Ferreira tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. De Villefort manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ferreira dances in with a quick combination. De Villefort is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Ferreira snaps De Villefort's head back. De Villefort stumbles backwards against the cage. Ferreira steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with De Villefort's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. De Villefort just didn't come prepared.
