The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Long takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

It looks like Brandon Long has been cut.
Long misses with a straight right.
McArthur throws a quick counter head kick but Long was just out of range.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Long has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Long tries to clinch but fails miserably
and McArthur counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

McArthur lands a big head kick that sends Long tumbling to the mat! McArthur takes a step backwards and waves Long back to his feet - he wants the finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watkins closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away.
A combination from Jones does no damage.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jones lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Watkins has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Watkins and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Watkins looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nivolumab Opdivo (ranked 2241 p4p, 286 weight class) and Trevor Lawson (ranked 1270 p4p, 174 weight class). Lawson has chosen Wait and Bleed by Slipknot as his entrance music. Trevor Lawson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one!
