The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rayne will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Rayne stalks Douglas and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Douglas's face. Douglas staggers backwards, shaken.
Douglas takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Rayne feints a jab promting Douglas to slip. Rayne then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Douglas slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Douglas throws a combination that misses

and Rayne counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Douglas!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rayne stands up out of the half guard.
Douglas tries to close the distance and clinch but Rayne swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

It seemed like Rayne was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hitme shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fjera as he jumps to the side.
Fjera tries to bum rush Hitme with a series of wild strikes but Hitme uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hitme crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Fjera - the referee stops the clock and Hitme gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Fjera. Hitme manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Hicks is trying to maintain the position but Turner is very close to passing his half guard.
Turner takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Turner is nestled in close to Hicks, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Hicks is still in real trouble! Can Turner finish him?
Turner lands a big elbow - Hicks is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Turner!
