I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Thomas Turbano was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! I Do It For Fun misses with a straight left. Turbano thuds his right hand into I Do It For Fun's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. I Do It For Fun clinches. Turbano working aggressively here.

Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Buckets screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lambton walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
It looks like George Lambton has been cut. Guy bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Lambton's head backwards. Guy lands a nice hook to Lambton's body. Lambton takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Guy cracks Lambton with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Lambton falls to his knees and Guy doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Mercer. Rohozeanu does a little dance to reset his feet. Mercer lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Rohozeanu at a distance.
Mercer throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Rohozeanu closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Mercer quickly recovers to half guard. Rohozeanu is working for a submission of some sort.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rohozeanu lands a nice short elbow. Rohozeanu prevents Mercer from standing back up.

Mercer has hold of Rohozeanu's hands but Rohozeanu slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Rohozeanu throws a strike but Mercer avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Mercer not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Mercer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mercer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Mercer is fighting to break Rohozeanu's control of his arms but Rohozeanu is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Rohozeanu pulls Mercer in close to prevent any damage. Rohozeanu has a closed guard, preventing Mercer from standing up. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mercer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rohozeanu has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mercer has managed to get both his arms back between Rohozeanu's legs - danger averted.

Rohozeanu tries to score with some ground and pound. Mercer controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Rohozeanu lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Mercer takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Rohozeanu advances nicely into full mount. BOOM! Rohozeanu connects with a massive shot to the dome!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Mercer is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Rohozeanu goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Mercer is on top in guard.
Mercer seems to have got his legs back now. Mercer preventing the sweep. Rohozeanu working for a triangle but Mercer defends it easily.
Rohozeanu wants to sweep here but Mercer controlling him for the moment. Costel Rohozeanu is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mercer missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
