Charlie Darwin decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
Mike Antouro spoke after the fight, saying 'Losing is a part of life. I will learn from this and come back stronger then ever!'.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gagnon is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Nurmy is looking for a triangle but Gagnon pushes his legs off easily.

Gagnon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nurmy keeps working.

Nurmy takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Nurmy darts in looking for a takedown but Gagnon gets double underhooks and turns Nurmy into the cage.
Nurmy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gagnon moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gagnon was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Gagnon scores with a decent looking hook.
Nurmy misses with a straight left.
Khalabib Nurmy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nurmy is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Gagnon blocks a jab.
Gagnon tries to counter by clinching up but Nurmy breaks away and moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nurmy takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Nurmy has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Nurmy shoots in for a takedown but Gagnon shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Gagnon sends Nurmy crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Gagnon is motioning to the referee to let Nurmy up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
