That one must have hurt. Munchkin lands a jab to Haden 's midsection. Munchkin lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Haden darts in and clinches Munchkin up against the cage. Haden jumps guard but Munchkin stands there with Haden around his waist. Haden gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Pulmu looks to throw a body kick and Silva counters with a nice body kick. Silva uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pulmu. Pulmu pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Silva let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. A slapping leg kick lands for Pulmu.
A big left from Pulmu misses. Pulmu misses with an uppercut. Silva saw that one coming. Silva might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Silva lands a glancing blow to the side of Pulmu's head. Silva throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Pulmu's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Silva dives in looking to finish as Pulmu flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Silva's strikes! Silva is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Pulmu's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Pulmu was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sigmund Erickson! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wang fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Erickson on the side of the head. Wang swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wang has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Arvins Bootcamp in the buildup to the fight. Wang lands a jab to the nose. Jab by Wang. Wang stalks Erickson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Erickson's face. Erickson staggers backwards, shaken. Erickson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Wang tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Erickson was well out of range. Poor timing from Wang. Some bone on bone action there as Wang checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Wang was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Wang will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Erickson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wang looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Erickson misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Lanaster is trying desperately to land a takedown but Lord is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Lanaster. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Lanaster might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Lord has got the better of the exchanges.
