Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Felix Sturm! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bob White! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Fedor Mirinova and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White throws a head kick but Sturm moves out of range.
White fails to land the takedown. White misses with a low kick. Sturm uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by White.
Sturm moves out of range of the body kick from White.
Sturm fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Sturm fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Sturm swats away the attempt to clinch by White. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sturm fails with the takedown and White counters with a right hand to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Felix Sturm. That's going to take a lot out of him. White with a poor takedown and Sturm counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. White looking for a sweep. Not yet White, not yet.

Sturm preventing the sweep. White is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. White is controlling Sturm's posture. White is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Sturm wants to control from the top but White keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Sturm blocks a head kick by White.
White tries to clinch but Sturm moves away and Sturm counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in White's guard now. Sturm postures up.
Sturm throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. White is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sturm is controlling him. White throws his legs up looking for a submission but Sturm uses it to pass to side control.
White looks gassed! White is trying to get back to half guard. Sturm trying to control the position but White is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Sturm misses with the ground and pound. White avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Sturm. Sturm lands an elbow. White tries to bench press Sturm off him but Sturm keeps the position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. White sneaks back into half guard. White wants to get back to his feet.
White is not content to let Sturm control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Sturm stops White from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. White looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Sturm scoring with strikes to the body and head. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sturm lands a nice short elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sturm thows a huge punch but White dodges it nicely.
White regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Sturm. White is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sturm is controlling him. White working a defensive guard here.

White will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Sturm wants to pass the guard but White is keeping the position. White had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sturm defends it easily. White is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sturm defends well. White is breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sturm chips away with some ground and pound.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. White moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. White escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sturm gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Sturm looking to pass the guard. Sturm wants to control from the top but White keeps moving. White trying to keep a closed guard but Sturm is proving a slippery customer.

Sturm doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sturm manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. White trying to strike off his back.
White wants to stand but Sturm is controlling the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. White tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. White fails with the takedown and Sturm decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in White's guard.

The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks White with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

It's official - Kosarev has eaten all the pies! Kosarev tries to buck Mahayev off but Mahayev is having none of it. Kosarev is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Mahayev stands up and we're back to a striking position. This has been an exciting period of action! Mahayev lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Kosarev misses with a body kick. A punch combination from Mahayev misses. Mahayev throws a right and a left that Kosarev avoids nicely. Kosarev doesn't manage to clinch there - Mahayev circles away.

Alexey Mahayev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mahayev displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kosarev. Kosarev staggers backwards, shaken. Kosarev looks gassed! Kosarev looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Kosarev is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mahayev decides to stand back up. Mahayev connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Kosarev tumbling to the canvas! Mahayev pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Kosarev was done - good stoppage!

Ivan Vasiljev showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! FOta slaps away a takedown attempt from Dude, before circling back to the center of the mat. A head kick misses from FOta. Dude fails to land the takedown. Dude closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. FOta parries the strikes from Dude easily there. Dude is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable FOta to escape.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Frisco with that takedown attempt. Zrinski looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! A punch combination from Frisco misses. Frisco shoots in for a double leg but Zrinski sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Horrible takedown by Frisco or perhaps it was just good defense by Zrinski which made him look bad. Nikola Zrinski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Frisco. Zrinski throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Frisco. A nice leg kick lands there from Zrinski. Frisco drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Zrinski closes the distance and clinches up with Frisco, looking for a takedown. Zrinski pushes Frisco against the cage but Frisco circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Frisco feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Frisco is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Frisco trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Frisco passes Zrinski's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Zrinski is trying to stand.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Frisco is stalling here. Zrinski is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Frisco seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Zrinski has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Zrinski tries to stand but Frisco is controlling his head. An elbow from Zrinski crashes against the mat.
Frisco gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Zrinski wants to stand but Frisco has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Klitschko tries for a takedown but Manza circles away easily and Manza counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Manza. Manza will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Manza wants to pass the guard but Klitschko is keeping the position. Klitschko has his feet on Manza's thighs here. He's pushed Manza off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Manza screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
